Trump Announces Bold New Kharg Island Move to Crush Iran Regime

Iran has been hemming and hawing over any hostilities-ending deal with the United States. They are optimistic one moment and rejecting conditions the next. President Donald Trump seems to be losing his patience (and we can scarcely blame him), and he is now reportedly planning to show Iran the "or else."

The United States will be hitting Iran (Whose Navy, Air Force, Radar, Anti Aircraft, and all other forms of Defense, together with most of its offensive capability, are GONE!), VERY HARD TONIGHT. At some point in the not too distant  future, we will be taking Kharg Island, and other oil infrastructure points, and assume total control of their Oil and Gas Markets, much like we have with Venezuela, which is working out brilliantly for both Venezuela and the United States of America. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

In a phone conversation with Fox News, the president stated:

Fox News: Will it be more bombing tonight?

President Trump: Yeah, there will be more bombing tonight. It'll be bigger. Bigger. More powerful. Don't forget we've knocked out all of their anti-aircraft. They don't have any anti... Nothing. I mean they may get lucky with the shoulder weapon, or something, but for the most part, they have no defense.

Fox: What did their representatives say in your phone call?

Excuse me. They're finished. But the papers, the media refuses to write it. They're finished. We can walk in there tomorrow. We could take soldiers... I don't want to have boots on the ground. But if I wanted to? We could put a small group of soldiers and take over the whole place. They're finished. And the media is crooked. They're just like our elections. The media is crooked.

And finally, Fox also reports on what actions the president and the War Department may be planning. (Live updates)

It's been apparent for some time now that Iran has been beaten like the red-headed stepchild of a rented mule, but Iran doesn't seem to have assimilated that information yet. The Islamic Republic's fractured and factionalized government keeps making demands they can't rationally understand - but then, people in their position aren't known for being rational.

The Kharg Island move would be an interesting one. It's a major bottleneck in Iran's petroleum export process; having a few hundred United States Marines sitting atop their export route may be the last straw for Iran's already crumbling economy.

But then, we've been in this position before. This entire process, since the beginning, has been a mad roller coaster of deals proposed, deals rejected, bloviating by Iran, threats, and, occasionally, more bombs and missiles from the USA. Iran, any rational observer would conclude, can't hold out much longer - and yet, they do. Maybe this new stepped-up bombing on infrastructure will persuade them.

Will Iran finally be shown the end-stage of the "FO" end of that famous equation? We may soon find out.
