On Thursday, FBI Director Kash Patel announced the success of something called Operation Gangster's Paradise, which yielded some very un-paradisiacal results for the La Eme "gang of gangs" members, at least 30 of whom are now in the hoosegow.

This @FBI continues to break violent gang operations all over the country.
The immigration status of any of those arrested is not mentioned, although we may very well take a pretty good guess.
A New York Post exclusive has some more details:
The arrests targeted alleged murders, drug dealers and racketeers taken in by FBI agents at residences in and around the city of Santa Ana.
The California Post has had front-row seats to SoCal gang raids in recent weeks, witnessing the FBI take down the 18th Street “supergang” in March as well as a major identity theft bust in Hollywood.
“This morning, we executed operation “Gangsters Paradise. We’ve indicted forty members and associates of the Mexican Mafia, who is the most powerful, prolific gang that operates out of state prisons,” said L.A.’s top federal prosecutor, Bill Essayli.
“They control and operate all the Hispanic street gangs out in the neighborhoods,” he added.
Federal agents working with local police arrested 43 suspects in all, confiscated firearms and seized illegal drugs, conducting 30 raids mostly in Orange County.
Note that Director Patel's post mentioned 30 arrests, instead of 43, but at minimum, there were 30 raids.

And, a press release from the United States Attorney's Office for the Central District of California names some names.
The defendants arrested this morning include:
- Jaime Alvarado, 42, a.k.a. “Junior” and “Brian Barbas,” of Lake Elsinore;
- Karina Cesena, 32, also of Lake Elsinore; and
- Mario Flores, 40, a.k.a. “Happy,” of Anaheim.
Senior gang members already in state custody who are expected to make their initial appearances and be arraigned in the coming weeks include:
- Luis Cardenas, 48, a.k.a. “Gangster,” “Pops” and “Tio,” an inmate at Ironwood State Prison;
- Jose Antonio Ochoa Madrigal, 41, a.k.a. “Sparky,” of Santa Ana, who incarcerated in an Orange County jail.
This group, Le Eme, is known to be affiliated with the notorious Mexican Mafia, which operates in and out of prisons.
This is a major bust, and interrogations of the goblins scooped up may well lead the FBI to find more of their fellow gang members. Kudos to the FBI and the local officers who no doubt worked with them. The people of California are safer today because of this bust, and boy howdy, there ought to be some back-slapping going on in FBI headquarters right now.
