Former Women's Soccer Star Rejects Reality: Facts Are Now Hate Speech

Leave it to the woke left to ignore, well, reality.

In the latest episode of Woke Progressives Gone Wild, former women's soccer player Megan Rapinoe is back to her usual shenanigans, denying biology in favor of having dudes play in women's sports. You'd think, having been a soccer player, a sport which I am given to understand required speed, strength, agility, and endurance, she's know better; but, clearly, she doesn't know, or care, about the differences between men and women.

Former U.S. women’s soccer star Megan Rapinoe ripped the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for implementing a new policy to ensure fairness across women’s competitions.

The IOC said "eligibility for any female category event at the Olympic Games or any other IOC event, including individual and team sports, is now limited to biological females, determined on the basis of a one‑time SRY gene screening."

That's simple enough: If a would-be player has an X and a Y chromosome, they are men, and compete against men. If said player has two X chromosomes, then they are women and compete against women. Simple enough, and by the way, we can dispense with the "biological females" redundancy; sex is a matter of biology. You can just say "female."

These are facts, and it was these facts that prompted yet another outburst from Rapinoe.

"They announced a new policy that they’re calling, I can’t even believe that they’re calling it this because it has nothing to do with protecting women, I feel like two people, who played at the very highest level for every competition that you possibly could, don’t agree with this and never felt like this was an issue at all, ‘The Protection of the Female [Women’s] Category.’"

Rapinoe dismissed the notion that the policy was rooted in science and said the IOC was subjecting women to "invasive testing."

She had more to say, but these few words are enough to establish that she has no interest in science, in biology, in reality. Let's deconstruct her statement, shall we?

Sorry, Fellas: The IOC Just Dealt a Body Blow to Men Competing in Women’s Olympic Sports

First: This policy by the IOC, long overdue as it is, is precisely about protecting women. It's about protecting actual women from losing, and possibly being injured by, dudes cosplaying as women. Men, who are overwhelmingly larger, faster, stronger, with more endurance than women, men who retain this difference even after estrogen therapy. 

These are facts.

Second, this policy is rooted in science. Men and women are different. The difference is not "assigned," it is determined, genetically, at conception. There have been any number of studies, peer-reviewed and published, identifying the differences before and after puberty. That's the science. That's the reality.

These are facts.

Finally, the test is not invasive. A cheek swab, by definition, is not invasive. An invasive procedure is one where the skin, a mucous membrane, or the blood-tissue boundary is breached. That's not necessary for a DNA swab.

These are facts.

Megan Rapinoe needs to take a quarter down to the corner store and buy a clue. Meanwhile, the IOC is finally doing the right thing. Good.
