There has been another unprovoked stabbing on the Charlotte, North Carolina, commuter light rail system. We saw the tragic death of Iryna Zarutska last August in just such an event, but this latest incident is different in two ways: The victim is still alive, although in critical but stable condition, at least as of this writing, and the alleged attacker is an illegal alien, who has been deported at least once and entered the United States illegally again.
When will we have had enough of this? Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy weighed in on his official X account:
Apparently, the death of Iryna Zarutska wasn't enough.

What is it going to take for @CLTMayor to remove violent criminals off the streets and protect her constituents?
The time to act is NOW. https://t.co/bSHDDw3L0B

And on Saturday, we learned that the accused attacker, 33-year-old Oscar Solarzano, is in the United States illegally. He is presently being held without bond.
According to court documents, Solarzano allegedly forced his way onto the light rail while intoxicated, where he then stabbed a man with a “large, fixed blade knife.”
Solarzano is also accused of shouting at bus riders and cursing at the victim and challenging him to a fight before the stabbing.
CMPD said Solarzano is charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with serious injury, breaking/entering a motor vehicle, carrying a concealed weapon and intoxicated/disruptive.
Court records show he is being held without bond because he “is an illegal and has been deported previously.”
We should note that entering the country illegally after having been deported once is a felony, but Solarzano faces much tougher charges than this; if convicted, he should live the rest of his natural life in an American prison, although that remains to be determined by the courts.
This entire incident reads like a Trump administration talking point: An illegal alien, who has already been deported once and re-entered illegally, attacks an innocent American in an apparent drunken rage. A cursory search does not reveal precisely how or when Solarzano entered the United States, but it's a safe bet it was during the Biden administration's non-enforcement of the nation's borders and immigration laws.
Charlotte, NC, has recently been the target of an Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation entitled "Charlotte's Web." The left will doubtless point to this as a motivation for this latest attack, but that's a canard. Enforcement of our national immigration laws doesn't justify or in any way lessen the brutality of the attack, or the fact that it was completely unprovoked, carried out by a goblin filled with an unaccountable rage.
Kind of like the attack on Iryna Zarutska.
Oscar Solarzano is no longer a problem for ICE, unless (presuming conviction and sentencing) he one day walks out of an American prison, hopefully as a much older man. At that point, he should be swept up and repatriated, even if he is 90 years old. But that doesn't change the fact that he never should have been in the United States in the first place, and once more, we have an American fighting for his life in a hospital because of an unprovoked attack by an illegal alien.
Editor’s Note: We voted for mass deportations, not mass amnesty. Help us continue to fight back against those trying to go against the will of the American people.
