Legacy Media Fail: NBC Opines on 2016 Russia Hoax, Gets It All Wrong

You can always count on the legacy media to get things wrong. This week we're being treated to a lot of delicious information on the 2016 "Russia collusion" hoax, and while most of us are enjoying all the revelations, showing that we were right in many of our suspicions, the legacy media isn't enjoying it nearly as much.

Now, NBC News, a reliable Democrat-supporting network, is trying to cast some shade on the Trump administration over these revelations. It's not going to fly.

Someone may want to explain to NBC News that "revealing what actually happened by releasing the documentation" isn't the same thing as trying to "rewrite the history." This is journalistic malpractice. In this matter, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard declassified and released the original intelligence assessment, and that assessment found no evidence that there was any significant Russian interference in the 2016 election. We also learned, from those declassified documents, that President Obama was unhappy with this finding, and (metaphorically) shouted, "I like not this news! Bring me some other news!" And that's the genesis of the Russian collusion hoax.

That, NBC News, is called "letting the truth be known."

But wait! There's more!

National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard and CIA Director John Ratcliffe have cited declassified emails to allege in social media posts and television appearances that Obama administration officials manipulated intelligence and conspired to undermine the legitimacy of Trump’s electoral victory in 2016.

But a bipartisan Senate investigation in 2020 and a recent CIA review both found that Russia interfered in the 2016 election, launching a disinformation campaign designed to damage Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s candidacy.

A three-year investigation by special counsel John Durham reported no criminal conspiracy by Obama administration officials to sabotage Trump, and Durham filed no charges against CIA officials.

"We investigated ourselves, and found nothing wrong!"

DNI Tulsi Gabbard is going on a declassify-and-release spree, and we're loving it. This is what we should expect from our elected and appointed officials: Transparency. Let us, the American people, see the original documents. Let us make up our minds for ourselves. And if there are consequences for any who participated in this farce - and there should be - on their heads be it.

These people, the very people named in all of these dumped documents, are not our masters or overlords. They work for us, not the other way around. They are our employees, hired in effect by the American taxpayers through our elected representatives (who also work for us) to carry out certain functions of government, distributed interests like national intelligence. That's what we pay them for, and in return, the least we can expect is not to be fed a huge, steaming pile of fresh horse squeeze in reply.

Tulsi Gabbard is telling us the truth. She's releasing the original documentation. It doesn't get any truthier than that. And, we suspect, she's nowhere near done yet.
