On Friday morning, former President Donald Trump spoke on a range of issues, including Thursday's verdict in his Manhattan trial, the Biden administration, and his reelection campaign. One interesting statement: "I am willing to do whatever I have to do to save our country and to save our Constitution." That could be interpreted in several ways, and we can be sure that Democrats will interpret it in the worst way they can imagine.

He went on to state his belief that not only are Joe Biden and the Biden administration not on the side of our country, but that they hate our country:

He added that this election day, November 5th, will be the most important day in the history of our country.

And, of course, he took the obligatory shot at "Crooked Joe Biden," as he lit into the current president, calling him a "Manchurian candidate":

Further, Trump cited a UK Daily Mail poll showing him gaining six points in a match-up against Joe Biden:
PRESIDENT TRUMP: I just saw a poll from the Daily Mail that was done right after the verdict. I'm up 6 points.

The former President seemed alert, rested, and focused. He hit several themes hard: The trial was rigged, the danger of this precedent harms our nation, nobody is immune from this kind of political witch hunt, and he will restore judicial norms once he is reelected as president. It's safe to say we will see these themes become a part of his campaign.
