The man who would jump Trump: Yesterday you may have seen the video here, of a man who tried to make it on stage while Trump was talking in a microphone at a rally. Secret Service rushed up and surrounded Trump while eyeballing anybody who was close and the man who attempted to crawl up on stage was hauled off. So what happened to they guy? Politico says he’s 22 year-old Thomas DiMassimo, and he says he expected to get caught and his plan was to grab the mic and yell that Trump was a racist.
Because you’ll be bored Tuesday: As long as you’re going to be glued to every precinct report that comes in Tuesday waiting to see how the presidential primaries unfold, keep this in the back of your mind..there are congressional primaries taking place as well. The Hill has a rundown on those races. Here’s one to note, Ohio’s 8th. 15 people are running in this primary. I won’t give a rundown on all of them but here’s an interesting note:
“Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, chairman of the conservative House Freedom Caucus that pushed Boehner out, has endorsed businessman Warren Davidson. The Club for Growth’s political arm has also spent more than $1 million on Davidson’s behalf. “
Too Speedy: Before taking your Maserati Quattroporte or Ghibli out to pick up some cat food, heads up. Bloomberg reports of a recall. The floor mat on the driver’s side can get stuck between the accelerator and the carpet and forces the car go fast making it dangerous. The Ghibli has a top speed of 163 miles an hour. The Quattroporte can go 177 mph.
Ya think? You really have to hand it to Ben Carson. He really puts himself out there for the good of the country. Wall Street Journal notes Carson was asked if he would be good with the VP slot if Trump were to become president, Carson reportedly replied, “I’ve told Mr. Trump that if it was really going to make a big difference I’d be willing to.”
Sunday Polls: Florida, Ohio and Illinois all get new numbers today and Kasich looks good in the two Ohio polls. Cruz pulling up nicely in Illinois.
No, Marco isn’t cheating in Florida -The story goes like this. Donald Trump put out some tweets accusing the Rubio campaign of being dishonest with regards to early voting in Florida. But the Secretary of State’s office says they’ve gotten no complaints of fraud and early voting has been going on for over a week. The term “rig the vote” was used in one tweet but the Secretary’s office said the Trump campaign has, so far, produced no any examples of vote rigging. The Miami Herald has a grab of the accusatory tweets.
Today is National K-9 Veterans Day: “National K9 Veterans Day is celebrated on March 13th on the official birthday of the US Army K9 Corps, which was formed in 1942.” (I have no idea how you’re suppose to celebrate this one. )
Water Cooler’s full: Hopefully you found something to talk about. If not, bring in something from outside and leave it here. Chances are if you thought it was interesting someone else will too. Whether it’s breaking news or bits of fluff it’s all good at here. The ‘cooler is always Open Thread.
