Finally, there is some really good news for Michigan Republicans who are running for state offices this November, and for the whole state in general, which has been affected by the Democrats--both nationally and statewide--shoving crap down our throats.
The Michigan State GOP is finally being run on all levels by a team that is competent, and can run more than just a lemonade stand.
Possibly, you have followed some of my stories related to now-former Michigan GOP Chairperson Kristina Karamo, who was removed by the state committee and was legally replaced by former Congressman and Ambassador under the Trump administration, Pete Hoekstra .
Finally, the last piece of the former regime's reign is over, and not only have the bank accounts been turned over but the social media accounts are in Hoekstra's hands. Back in March of this year, I noticed that the Michigan GOP X account was not online and I wrote this piece inquiring why.

Well, that didn't make me happy.
I wrote at the time:
This of course follows the legal battle that removed Karamo from calling herself the chair of the Michigan GOP on the last day of February a little over a week ago. That story was hit right here, and it stripped her of the ability to present herself as the legal chair of the Mi-GOP and use its tools.
That would include tools like X or the party's bank accounts.
Since the court ruling, I have assumed that the former administration would eventually have to turn over all the social media accounts and access to the bank accounts to the new Hoekstra administration. I had no official guess when that could happen, but this is likely the first sign that it is about to happen.
As I mentioned earlier today, Pete had been given firm control after the state committee members lawfully and correctly removed Karamo and the court has confirmed this. The hope is that this will start moving in the right direction and possibly save this election cycle for Republicans in Michigan.
I have reached out to some people who might be in the know about what has happened here and the status of the transition. When I find out, I will update this story as appropriate.
I kept checking on this at least once a week, and was told a couple of weeks ago this would be settled soon. Now it has. Hoekstra and his team have full control of the Michigan GOP platforms, as evidenced by this...

...and also this:
Now, I'm taking a guess here but I'm pretty sure that Karamo and her crew are not going to be tweeting, and willing to put the new guy's face on stuff promoting the platform from which they got removed via a court decision.
Just a hunch.
The timing of this could have been better, as in not ever happening, but now that it has my sincere hope is that the Michigan GOP can start laying the groundwork to be competitive here in the Great Lakes State. Particularly when the Biden camp is stumbling almost as badly as Joe does up or down stairs.
A clear example of this from my colleague Nick Arama, where new polling shows Biden losing to Trump with women:
Indeed Rasmussen was out with a poll on Friday that, if it's accurate, says Biden is toast with women.
It has Trump up with women by 11 over Biden, 47 to 36 percent, when you factor in all the other people running. Rasmussen says that includes the "elusive, exclusive 'Suburban Women'" contingent.

Biden keeps digging a hole that gives life to a Michigan GOP better able to compete in November 2024, which would otherwise be dead in the water because of how unorganized it was with Karamo.
That is great news going forward.
