Maura Healey Is yet Another 'Catholic' Democrat Happily Doing the Devil's Work

When Massachusetts' Democrat governor, Maura Healey, signed one of the most radical abortion bills in the country last week, she surrounded herself with an assortment of Stepford Wives-like women who whooped and hollered in glee – right on cue – as the lives of unborn babies in the commonwealth were made even more expendable.

Up until last Monday, the women of Massachusetts faced a 24-week "gestational boundary" for seeking an abortion, meaning at least some babies were saved because Mom didn't terminate her pregnancy in time. Healey changed all that when she signed a bill removing that 24-week hard stop on abortions, meaning women can now seek to terminate their pregnancies right up until their due date.

It's barbaric. And all those women cheered like lunatics.

Here's the abhorrent scene of them surrounding Healey with satanic smiles frozen on their faces, clapping like seals – barbaric seals.

We don't know who these ghoulish women are, but we know quite a bit about Maura Healey. For instance, she claims to be Catholic. Her words and deeds don't seem to bear that out, but let's say it's true. If that's the case, she didn't just happily sign away the lives of untold future generations, she also gave a huge middle finger to the Catholic faith she claims to hold dear.

If Healey needs a reminder, here's what the Catholic Church teaches about abortion, taken from the Catechism of the Catholic Church: human life must be protected “absolutely from the moment of conception” and that direct abortion is “gravely contrary to the moral law.” It also says the Church’s condemnation of procured abortion has been consistent since the first century and “remains unchangeable.”

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops guides those in political life this way: advocating for intrinsically evil acts such as abortion is itself a serious immoral act involving grave matter.

This is not some obscure church doctrine we're talking about here, but one of Catholicism's clearest and most fundamental teachings – human life is sacred and must be protected from conception to natural death.

Healey is hardly blazing a new trail here, though. She's merely the latest in a long line of prominent Catholic Democrats who proclaim their faith loud and proud while using their political power to advance the very thing their Church calls a grave moral evil.

Nancy Pelosi may be the patron saint of this particular brand of political Catholicism, having publicly embraced abortion for years until her own bishop finally stopped giving her the Eucharist in 2022. Something that should have been done long before.

And let's not forget Joe Biden. He loved to make a big show of his Catholicism, complete with rosary beads, Mass attendance, meetings with the pope. His devotion, however, didn't extend as far as the womb. His administration worked to protect and expand abortion access, and his doomed reelection campaign made restoring Roe v. Wade-style protections a major political objective.

Having seen this happen time and again with supposed Catholic Democrats, the organization Catholic Vote is now calling on the bishops of Massachusetts to excommunicate Maura Healey for doing the devil's handiwork.

Maura Healey may never face consequences from her party, and perhaps not even from her Church. But if she truly believes the Catholic faith she so publicly claims, then she knows there is one judgment she cannot spin her way around.

One day, Maura Healey will have to answer to God for what she did ... and there won't be a roomful of brainwashed, cheering women there to make her feel better.
