Newly Released Oval Office Logs Torpedo NYT's Trump 'Fatigue' Smear

The legacy media isn't going to like this one bit.

Despite their best efforts, and a recent New York Times hit piece claiming President Trump's "battery shows signs of wear," newly-released Oval Office logs blow a huge hole into the "slowing down narrative" being pushed by the left, and show that the 47th president actually keeps a schedule that would put most younger people to shame. Fifty-hour work weeks, and that's just the time he spends in the Oval and nearby rooms, are the norm, and those overseas trips are really where the pace goes into overdrive.

The logs released covered ten weekdays, starting November 12 and ending November 25, the date The Times published the piece purporting the president was suffering from fatigue. Notably, the logs do not list time President Trump spends making early-hour and late-in-the-evening calls and social media posts from the White House residence. With that factored in, it's clear The Times' narrative doesn't hold up.

The White House made the rare decision to share the logs to counter the narrative that Trump, 79, is slowing with age — with the files instead showing him working longer hours than the average American as he overhauls trade and immigration policies, attempts to end the Russia-Ukraine war and spearheads the most significant construction at the White House in decades.

On the first day alone, November 12, the president logged 32 meetings and "calls with subordinates, lawmakers and businessmen on the day that Congress voted to end the 43-day government shutdown." Things kicked off with a 10:30 a.m. staff meeting in the Roosevelt Room, followed by multiple phone calls, then meetings with Vice President JD Vance and White House Staff Secretary Will Scharf. Calls were also made to six lawmakers, three judicial nominees, and one architect.

And he wasn't close to being done, according to the records released. There was a 7:45 p.m. dinner with some Wall Street CEOs, a late-evening bill-signing event that ended the shutdown, plus 10:40 p.m. meeting with a corporate executive.

Not exactly the actions of a guy whose battery is rapidly draining, is it?

WH Smacks Down NYT Reporter’s Trump ‘Fatigue’ Claim - With Her Own Words

These logs come on the heels of Monday's letter issued by the president's personal physician showing that a recent MRI showed President Trump to be in excellent health, particularly for a man who turns 80 next year. None of this will quiet the chatter from the left, who have a vested interest in making Donald Trump into Joe Biden 2.0.

For instance, Democrat commentator Dan Turrentine, who once worked for Hillary Clinton and now makes regular appearances on Fox News and Newsmax, seems particularly keen on keeping this narrative alive.

Make no mistake – the story here isn't President Trump's robustness or ability to do his job. That's all good. The real story is the media's gaslighting on top of the gaslighting. Let's face it, Trump's vigor seems only to be matched by the renewed energy with which the media now covers presidential health matters. They'd rather we not remember the four years they ran cover for Joe Biden's obvious decline; they told us repeatedly not to believe what we could see was true with our own eyes.

But, there's another goal here: if the left and their water carriers in the media can convince voters that Trump is also in serious decline, that would take a lot of pressure off of any Democrat who wants to run for president in 2028 and would strongly prefer not to answer questions about what they knew of Biden's decline and when they knew it. If the media can accomplish that, they've done their job.

Editor's Note: The mainstream media continues to deflect, gaslight, spin, and lie about President Trump, his administration, and conservatives.
