This Is Bonkers: Two Boys Suspended From VA School After Complaining About Girl Using Boys' Locker Room

It's Groundhog Day in Loudoun County, Virginia, as the year 2021 seems to be playing out all over again in 2025.

Back then, it was an army of rabidly left-wing wine moms trying to push their rabidly left-wing agenda on public school students (while further harming said students by weaponizing COVID to keep them out of school, and thus helping to propel Republican Glenn Youngkin into the Governor's Mansion), and this time it's, well, pretty much the same, minus the COVID.

And it's once again an election year, so let's hope voters are paying attention.

Here's the deal. As RedState previously reported, Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) was weighing a Title IX investigation against three male students at Stone Bridge High School after they complained about a biological female student using the boys' locker room. Not only did the girl use a locker room that doesn't align with her biological sex, as is required by an executive order signed this year by President Trump, she also used her phone to record a video while in the boys' locker room, which is a violation of LCPS's own student privacy policy.

In short: Girl uses boys' locker room. Further, girl uses phone to take video of boys in boys' locker room. Boys complain. Boys get suspended. Girl is allowed to continue using boys' locker room.

And, now, two of the boys who complained have been suspended from school for 10 days.

If you're wondering what happened to the third boy, hold onto your hats: Reports indicate the Title IX investigation against him was dropped, possibly because he is Muslim. A dismissal letter sent to the boy said the complaint "must be dismissed from the Title IX grievance process" because "the conduct alleged would not constitute sexual harassment," as defined by Title IX regulations, "even if proved." Curious.

And, if you're also wondering what happened to the girl who violated school policy by taking a video in a protected space, the answer is nada. Nothing. Zilch. Even worse, thanks to the twisted priorities of the Loudoun County School Board, she will have free use of boys' spaces for the foreseeable future.

Just last week, LCPS joined with all of the major public school systems in the Northern Virginia area in announcing it will fight the Trump administration in order to keep in place its policy allowing students to use whatever bathroom/locker room they please. This is not only a serious threat to student safety, it's likely to result in steep cuts to federal funding of LCPS. It's a lose-lose situation for county students.

Ian Prior, a Loudoun County resident and senior advisor at America First Legal, told RedState of recent LCPS actions: "Loudoun County Public Schools is doing its best to guarantee that the Supreme Court decisively ends these insane interpretations of Title IX and the equal protection clause."

Prior is referring to West Virginia v. B.P.J., a transgender rights case that is expected to be argued in front of the Supreme Court sometime in 2026. At stake is:

(1) Whether Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prevents a state from consistently designating girls' and boys' sports teams based on biological sex determined at birth; and (2) whether the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment prevents a state from offering separate boys' and girls' sports teams based on biological sex determined at birth.

The Supreme Court's ruling will have far-reaching consequences, and left-leaning school districts like Loudoun County may find themselves in deep trouble for having allowed things to get to the point where boys are being punished for not wanting girls in their private spaces.

Winsome Earle-Sears, the Republican candidate for governor, weighed in on LCPS suspending the boys:

As noted by Earle-Sears, her Democrat opponent, Abigail Spanberger, has been noticeably silent on this issue. In 2021, Loudoun’s arrogance helped hand Glenn Youngkin the keys to the Governor’s Mansion. In 2025, the school board seems determined to repeat history—and the ballot box may once again teach them the lesson they seem determined not to learn.
