One of the most under-reported stories of the past 24 hours may well be the fact that we actually do know how President Trump's base feels about Israel and Iran, despite attempts by some in the legacy media—not to mention click-servative ne'er-do-wells on X who are mired in engagement farming—to portray MAGA as being fractured over the matter. 

A lot has been made in recent days, particularly on X, over what some have perceived as a schism forming amongst Trump's base, with, in basic terms, the "America first" side favoring diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict while the more pragmatic wing seemed to be open to the U.S. taking military action to ensure Iran doesn't develop nukes. 

The simplest way to look at the kerfuffle might be found in the frostiness developing between Tucker Carlson and President Trump himself. As RedState reported on Monday, Carlson appeared on Steve Bannon's "War Room" and predicted an early demise to Trump's second term if the president were to involve the U.S. in efforts to de-nuke Iran. Trump was having none of it and pleaded with social media to explain to "kooky" Carlson that "Iran must not have nuclear weapons!"

It seemed that MAGA was at an Iran-sized impasse. Not so fast ... and not so much.

A new poll from the firm GrayHouse puts things into sharp focus: Trump's 2024 voters overwhelmingly support Israel taking military action against Iran, and also see Iran as an existential threat to the national security of the United States. They're, additionally, supportive of President Trump taking military action in order to protect the U.S.

The poll, which was prepared by GrayHouse for the Senate Republican Committee, showed MAGA far from being fractured, with a staggering 80 percent of Trump voters voicing their support for the U.S. providing Israel with offensive weapons in its efforts to destroy Iran's military and nuclear capabilities. 

That's not all. Poll results show that 83 percent of Trump voters support the strikes on Iran's nuclear program, with 72 percent supporting the U.S. taking "direct military action" to prevent Tehran from developing its nuclear capabilities.

Perhaps the most telling bit of information to emerge from this new poll is how MAGA feels about relying on diplomatic efforts to resolve the escalating conflict. In short, they're against it, with 73 percent stating they don't trust Tehran to keep their end of any diplomatic deal. This is the number that shatters the narrative that one side of MAGA supports diplomacy while the other side is in favor of military action. MAGA, it seems, is united in its determination that ensure that Iran does not develop and use nukes, and they're behind the president taking all necessary action to stop them. The schism that some X users love to talk about simply doesn't exist. 

The polling also showed a high level of awareness amongst Trump voters of the escalating situation in the Middle East, with 93 percent having seen, heard or read about the military conflict underway between Israel and Iran.

• Voters 65 or older: 35 percent
• Voters 50-64: 33 percent
• Voters 30-49: 26 percent
• Voters 19-29: 7 percent
• Male: 60 percent
• Female: 40 percent

The White House on Monday evening reiterated President Trump's stance, tweeting, "President Donald J. Trump has never wavered in his stance that Iran cannot be allowed to have a nuclear weapon — a pledge he has made repeatedly, both in office and on the campaign trail." And the numbers show that MAGA is right behind him. 

Bottom line here: X is not real life and should never, ever be treated as such.
