If this week in politics has taught us anything, it's this: every Democrat hoping to be elected or reelected to higher office in the next few election cycles needs to come clean about Joe Biden's cognitive decline and any role they may have played in the cover up. 

Yes, it's scandalous that the media committed its worst malpractice yet by gaslighting the American people about Biden's quite obvious deterioration before and during his time in office, but Democrats also need to fess up about the role they, individually and as a party, played in lying to the nation. So far, all we're getting from the likes of Democrat Party leaders like Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, two people who definitely enabled The Big Lie about Biden, is a mealy-mouthed "we're looking forward" non-response. 

Not good enough.

New Revelations From Tapper's Book About Biden and the Cabinet Are Even Worse

Democrats may think they can skate on this issue because the all-important midterms aren't for another 18 months, but voters know they were lied to about Biden's condition and they know which party had a lead role. And it's shaping up to be an issue in the off-year elections taking place in 2025. 

Take, for instance, the governor's race in Virginia, where Republican Winsome Sears is facing off against Democrat Abigail Spanberger. Ms. Spanberger served in the U.S. House of Representatives from January 3, 2019 through January 3, 2025, which is quite the overlap with Joe Biden's presidential run and time in the White House. Certainly she saw firsthand what we all saw? Knowing that, why didn't she say anything?

Winsome Sears would also like to know the answers to these questions, so she released a campaign ad on Friday taking Spanberger to task for the part the former Congresswoman played in the gaslighting of America.

The video does a great job capturing how Democrats like Spanberger willingly participated in the duplicity. 

Although she might not want Virginia's voters to know this, Abigail Spanberger had high-profile appearances with Biden during the peak periods of Democrat (and media) deception. Back in February of 2022, the former president spent time with Spanberger in her district touting "Build Back Better." Are we supposed to believe she didn't notice anything was off about him? Maybe it was one of those "good days" that are supposed to make us feel better about The Big Lie.

Spanberger also worked closely with Biden throughout 2024 to get the Social Security Fairness Act signed into law. Nothing seemed off about him in all of 2024? Nothing at all? The voters deserve to know what she saw and why she stayed silent. And why she's still silent to this day. 

If Democrats like Abigail Spanberger don't the like the current state of play, they can blame their old pal Jake Tapper. Tapper, of course, is releasing a book next week, co-authored by Axios' Alex Thompson, in which he supposedly uncovers the truth about the Biden coverup. A coverup that he helped facilitate. Or, as The Babylon Bee put it, "Jake Tapper Uncovers Startling Evidence That Biden’s Decline Was Covered Up By Jake Tapper."

Republicans have been handed a golden opportunity to put the duplicity of the Democrats on trial—both at the ballot box and in the court of public opinion. This is the only campaign issue that matters.
