New Revelations From Tapper's Book About Biden and the Cabinet Are Even Worse

The disturbing revelations from Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson's book about Joe Biden are still dropping.

We reported how Biden was in such bad condition, his team was debating putting him in a wheelchair, but they decided they couldn't do it before the election. That tells you everything about their priorities. Instead, they worked on things like having him practice walking to a podium. Imagine how bad his condition is if they had to do that.

But it gets worse.

According to the book, they even hid him from Cabinet members.

Three unnamed Cabinet secretaries told them that "Biden’s inner circle shielded the president from them in 2023 and 2024,” according to Tapper.

“The Cabinet secretaries were no longer even directly briefing the president in any regular way,” Tapper said on CNN, citing reporting from the book. “Instead, they briefed senior White House aides, who would then speak to Biden.”

One of the three said Biden was "disoriented" and "out of it" when he saw him. So would they even know if any direction they then get back came from Biden? How do we know whether Biden was even briefed?

There was even a question from officials about whether he could even deal with the 2 a.m. phone call.

A different Cabinet secretary noted that they didn’t think the president had “dementia” but recognized that he was “an old man,” according to Tapper.
“The president can give you four to six good hours a day,” they said of Biden.
“When he got tired, sloppy isn’t the right word, but his guard was down.”
By last year, Tapper noted that Biden officials believed they couldn’t rely upon him to perform presidential duties around the clock, such as if an emergency came up at 2 a.m..
The CNN host reported that Biden’s cabinet secretaries — along with his aides — “didn’t have access” to or didn’t see the former president “for months” at a time beginning in 2023.
“Others told us that in some meetings, Biden would mumble incoherently, something the public only got glimpses of,” continued Tapper before showing a clip of Biden doing just that in January 2024.

That's insane. Imagine the danger that put us in, if that's true. We were in grave danger with him or his husk in the seat. Indeed, the book even claimed Biden forgot the names of people like his National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and even Mike Donilon, who had worked with him for decades.

The report claimed he called Sullivan "Steve" twice while dealing with the Britney Griner incident in 2022. Sullivan was asked about that report at a Politico conference.

He claimed, "I do not recall that ever happening."

Jake Sullivan, Biden's National Security Adviser, denies a claim that the former president once called him Steve.

This is honestly moot, but it gives an opportunity to highlight the role that Sullivan played in covering up Biden's mental decline.

He does "not recall." You mean like Joe Biden? Come on, Steve! You didn't even say that it didn't happen; you said you "do not recall."

Sullivan claimed Biden was executing the job, but then claimed he was unaware of the extent of Biden's issues until the debate.
