Russia Hoax Architect Nellie Ohr Lied to Congress and the FBI and DOJ Covered Up the Investigation

The Department of Justice failed to prosecute a prominent figure in the Russia Hoax scandal even though it possessed documentary evidence proving she had perjured herself during testimony. According to a report released by Senator Charles Grassley's Judiciary Committee, Nellie Ohr, a researcher with Hillary Clinton's opposition research contractor, Fusion GPS, and wife of Deputy Associate Attorney General Bruce Ohr, lied on multiple occasions during her Senate testimony. Former Representative Mark Meadows who then headed the House Oversight Committee filed a criminal referral in 2019 accusing Nellie Ohr of lying about her role in developing and disseminating the "Steele Dossier." Documents finally declassified by the FBI show the allegation was investigated and substantiated, but no action was ever taken.

Though Nellie Ohr denied knowing that the Department of Justice was investigating the Russia Hoax as though it were real, the FBI found that Ohr not only assisted in the development of the Steele Dossier, which purported to include personal conversations between former MI6 chief Christopher Steele and numerous Russian officials confirming that Trump was a Russian asset, she also provided information to the Department of Justice which bolstered the information she'd manufactured for Steele. The information she provided to the Department of Justice focused on the bogus "Alfa Bank" story.

Most curiously, one of the lies told by Ohr concerned her ham radio license.

  • In direct contradiction to her congressional testimony, Nellie Ohr took six ham radio classes and an exam during her time as a Fusion GPS employee (pg. 37). Ham radios can facilitate international communication without the use of a cell signal.
    • Nellie Ohr claimed her ham radio training occurred before she was employed by Fusion GPS. However, per records from the Fairfax Fire and Rescue Department and Federal Communications Commission, Nellie Ohr’s entire ham radio training occurred between March to May 2016, while working at Fusion GPS.

Apparently, the FBI never had the ambition to explore Ohr's ham radio activities or why she found it necessary to lie about when she took training.

Just like herpes, this story is the gift that keeps on giving. What Grassley's investigation, and pit bull intensity, have produced is evidence that the FBI and the Department of Justice bureaucracy are partisan Democrat organizations who repeatedly punish conservative people for crimes while letting those on the left go free. Compare and contrast the kid glove treatment received by Nellie Ohr with the hammering given to Roger Stone for similar offenses of the Russia Hoax. In the same way, misdemeanor defendants for January 6 crimes were subjected to pre-dawn raids, held without bail, and imprisoned in brutal conditions while no one showed any curiosity about the Antifa and BLM goons who attacked police and police stations during the summer of 2020.

Keep in mind that this cover-up happened on the watch of Donald Trump's own Attorney General and his personal choice to be FBI Director.

“Ohr never suffered consequences for advancing the phony Trump-Russia narrative and attempting to cover up her involvement in the hoax,” Grassley said in a statement. “Yet time and again, the American justice system has been weaponized against President Trump and his associates with reckless abandon.” He also noted that “The DOJ’s inaction on Nellie Ohr’s criminal referral — despite the obviously incriminating evidence provided in the FBI’s own analysis — undermines public trust in the rule of law."

Not only did Ohr not suffer any consequences for her lying, she never will. The statute of limitations on that offense has passed and she is home free.
