Four years ago, conservative activist/filmmaker/whatever Dinesh D’Souza pleaded guilty to single count of using “straw donors” to evade limits to political campaigns. For reasons that are more than a little unclear to me, D’Souza donated the maximum to the senatorial campaign of Wendy Long (who?) as did his wife. He then asked his mistress and another person to do the same with the guarantee that he’d reimburse them. Somehow this caught the attention of Preet Bharara, the prosecutorial Jack Russell terrier who was US Attorney for the Southern District of New York and D’Souza ended up with eight months in a halfway house and five years probation.
Today, President Trump announced he was pardoning D’Souza.
Will be giving a Full Pardon to Dinesh D’Souza today. He was treated very unfairly by our government!

I have no intention of defending D’Souza’s behavior beyond saying that if you are going to scoff laws, the one category I really don’t care that you scoff is campaign finance laws. I would also place even money on the proposition that had a similar figure in progressive politics done exactly the same thing, Preet Bharara would never have brought a criminal action against him or her.
Bravo! @realDonaldTrump Dinesh was the subject of a political prosecution, brazenly targeted by the Obama administration bc of his political views. And he’s a powerful voice for freedom, systematically dismantling the lies of the Left—which is why they hate him. This is Justice. https://t.co/cGHzcgwSnK

What I think this action indicates is that Trump has decided that he is going to pardon Mike Flynn and some other people who have pleaded guilty in Mueller’s probe.
Who’s going to give back the young and beautiful lives (and others) that have been devastated and destroyed by the phony Russia Collusion Witch Hunt? They journeyed down to Washington, D.C., with stars in their eyes and wanting to help our nation…They went back home in tatters!

The D’Souza pardon is just checking the temperature and preparing the battlefield.
