Another Tuesday, another election day — this time, it's the runoff races in Texas. The big focus, of course, will be on the U.S. Senate race, in which four-term Republican incumbent John Cornyn faces off with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
In March, neither Cornyn nor Paxton managed to secure the votes needed to avoid that runoff, with Cornyn pulling 42 percent of the vote and Paxton garnering 40.5 percent. (Rep. Wesley Hunt (TX-38)) came in third with 13.5 percent.)
The battle for the runoff has been hard-fought, with millions of dollars expended, and with a recent endorsement (of Paxton) by President Donald Trump.

But that's not the only race being decided today. Other key races for Republicans include the Attorney General's race, where Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) is squaring off against state Senator Mayes Middleton, and the Railroad Commissioner's race featuring incumbent James Wright versus investor Bo French.
On the Democrat side, there's also a runoff for the nomination for Attorney General (Nathan Johnson vs. Joe Jaworski) and for Lieutenant Governor (Vikki Goodwin vs. Marcos Velez). And, of course, we're keeping an eye on the congressional runoff in TX-18 (where incumbent Al Green might be on the verge of losing his seat to incumbent Christian Menefee, compliments of redistricting), and TX-35, featuring Maureen "Castrate the Zionists" Galindo and Johnny Garcia.
