The gunman, who shot through windows into the church, appears to have taken his own life in the parking lot. Immediately, the questions come: Who did this? And why?

In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, the gunman was identified as a male in his 20s. Now, additional details have emerged, based on social media posts.

Warning: Viewer discretion advised.

It is important to note that these details have not yet been confirmed by law enforcement officials. However, the reports indicate that the alleged gunman may be Robin Westman. Minnesota court records purportedly pertaining to Westman indicate that he was born in 2002, and previously was known as Robert Westman, but sought and was granted a legal name change in 2020. The records also indicate Westman, then still a minor, "identifies as a female and wants her name to reflect that identification."

As noted in the above tweet from Townhall, a YouTube account belonging to "Robin W" uploaded two different manifesto-style videos on Wednesday morning.

The first video runs over 20 minutes and pages through a notebook, which includes dated entries, beginning in May of 2025 and continuing through August 21, 2025, then flipping through multiple blank pages as a male voice mutters in the background. There are two pages with drawings toward the end of the notebook — the latter of which appears to be a church sanctuary, which the individual filming then points to emphatically before appearing to stab it with a knife. He concludes the video by pointing out a list of bands he likes, then says, "That's all I do: I fall, I break, and I die."

The second video is shorter, at just shy of 11 minutes. Multiple screenshots from it are included in the above tweet thread. These include weapons with writing on them, including:

  • "Release the List!"
  • "6 million wasn't enough"
  • "Kill Trump Now!"
  • "McVeigh"
  • "ISRAEL MUST FALL"
  • "Like a Phoenix we rise from the ashes."

This is a developing story. RedState will provide additional updates as they become available.
