COMING ATTRACTIONS

We'll continue to watch the fallout from what I'm now referring to as "Swampgate," as Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard continues to open the blinds and let the sunlight in, and Deep State actors recoil from it.

On Friday, President Trump heads to Scotland/the U.K.

MORNING MUSING

I may not be a fan of my physical gut these days (late-middle age plus working from home in a sedentary job are not its friends), but I've increasingly become one of my metaphorical gut. It turns out, trust in it is warranted. I can't catalog all of the instances where my gut instinct on a situation was later borne out, but I thought I'd share just a few:

  • WMD (or lack thereof) in Iraq
  • Benghazi (and Susan Rice's Sunday show lie-fest)
  • Hilary's emails
  • Jim Comey's shadiness
  • Russia, Russia, Russia!
  • Ukraine — Trump Impeachment 1
  • COVID — its origins (Remember the Pangolin!) and mitigation measures
  • Hunter's laptop

Now, a few caveats: First, I was hardly alone in these impressions/perspectives — I'm not claiming some special foresight superpower. Second, there are a couple I'm holding back still...because they've not fully been borne out, but when/if they are, I'll have a tweet or two (of mine) I can point back to with a flourish and a "Ta-dah!" Third, while these run largely in one (partisan) direction, I should point out that I was not sold on Trump when Russiagate first emerged. I wasn't sold on Russiagate, but I wasn't sold on him either. I hadn't voted for him, and I was still very unsure of what to expect from him. I just knew something about the whole thing seemed very...off.

If nothing else, what the past 15-20 years have taught me is that my gut is more reliable than the legacy media. So, yeah, the next time my gut's telling me the opposite of the preferred media narrative, I'll be listening to and trusting my gut, thank you very much.
