DHS Swings, Brutally Connects on Response to Hunter Biden's Deranged Illegal Immigration Rant
The reason Dems are squirming is that Hunter is once again illustrating the rot at the core of the Biden family—a corrupt unethical clan who they did everything in their power to keep in office.
Actors, Anchors, and Other False Idols
Relying on actors, or reciting (serious) dialogue that actors read, or believing actors in real life are oracles of wisdom has always baffled me.
The Sound of Silence: Comey, Brennan, Obama Mum on Tulsi Gabbard's Criminal Referral to the DOJ
Perhaps these miscreants will start showing up on MSNBC and CNN soon to spin more tall tales and try to talk their way out of this mess, but up till now, they’ve had a whole weekend to think of how to respond and they’ve come up with bupkus.

Everytown Pushes 'Study' Bashing Stand Your Ground Laws
Everytown's "research" isn't research. It's activism with a thin veneer of science applied so that they can pretend they're something other than a group that would eradicate our rights if given half a chance.
NPR President: Defunding NPR Was Racist
Taxpayers are cash cows to be milked to fund their preferred NGOs, provide multi-million dollar sinecures for elites who rise to the top, and when they get uppity, they can be replaced with low-wage illegal aliens who will do the yard work for Maher and her ilk.
Bombshell Report Reveals What We've Known All Along About Hillary Clinton's Email Scandal
And here's the kicker: "The thumb drives were never reviewed as part of the Clinton investigation, contrary to the recommendation of a draft FBI memorandum. The DOJ OIG report also shows the drives should have been immediately reviewed for foreign intelligence purposes, but were not."
CNN's Scott Jennings Said Trump Delivered on This Promise...and Mayhem Ensued
"One of the most dishonest things I’ve ever seen out there. Just wild," Scott tweeted regarding this panel. "Under Trump, eggs are down. I feel like I’m losing my mind."
'She Did It': Hunter Reveals What We All Knew About How Joe Biden Exited the 2024 Election
By all means, Hunter Biden, please keep talking. We can see the left in America sweating and squirming every time you pull that microphone up to your face.
WHAT'S ON TAP?
Today on Capitol Hill...
Well, it's a busy day on the Hill in terms of meetings/hearings, but...the House Rules Committee is having some issues wrestling with the Epstein issue. Bear in mind, this is Punch Bowl's framing, but here's where things currently stand:

Meanwhile, Rep. Andrew Garbarino (R-NY) has been chosen as the next chair of the House Homeland Security Committee following Rep. Mark Green's (R-TN) resignation (which also narrows the majority lead by one until Tennessee holds its special election, sometime in November or December.

Full Court Press...
We had a mixed bag of court rulings yesterday. Judge Indira Talwani added to the oddness of her rulings in the Planned Parenthood funding case with a preliminary injunction order that I've not really had an opportunity to digest/dissect. (The good news is that the administration can now appeal it, which I suspect they will.)
🚨🚨🚨BREAKING: Federal judge grants Planned Parenthood preliminary injunction holding Congress' defunding violated First Amendment and Equal Protection clause. Court had entered TRO. Now that PI is entered, Trump can appeal injunction. 1/

In Project on Government Oversight v. Trump (FOIA/records retention), Judge James Boasberg (yes, that Boasberg) granted the administration's motion to stay proceedings pending the outcome of the appeal in a related case (CREW v. DOGE).
And in Slaughter v. Trump (removal of independent agency leaders), the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals granted the administration's motion for an administrative stay.
COMING ATTRACTIONS
Will there be more document releases by ODNI this week? Director of National Intelligence certainly hinted there would be. Also, the DOJ is making moves to further the interests of transparency on the Epstein matter.

MORNING MUSING
I've referenced the "America This Week" podcast with Matt Taibbi and Walter Kirn before. I have several podcasts I enjoy, but that is my one must-see/hear each week. (And now twice-a-week.) They aired another live episode on Monday afternoon, and I had an opportunity to watch/listen Monday evening. I highly recommend it, and here's why: Neither Taibbi nor Kirn is a traditional "right-winger." I've followed the podcast from its inception, and it's been fascinating to observe the evolution of their thinking, whether it be on politics or the media. In short, I find them genuine. I don't always agree with their takes. But I believe they are sincere in their quest to understand the American landscape. And it helps me check my own perspective.
Monday's episode dealt largely with Russiagate and the fallout from Gabbard's recent document disclosure related to it. About two-thirds of the way through the episode, Taibbi and Kirn were pondering the seeming shift in attitude from figures like FBI Director James Comey and Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, who initially appeared to be trying to get things right while navigating dicey political waters before changing up their approach and throwing in with the ends-justify-the-means crew in late 2016. Matt wondered, "What changed their minds?" The answer, to me, presented itself in obvious fashion: Trump won.
Up until that point, all of the bureaucratic creatures could drift along, maybe cutting corners here, and paying lip-service there, but comfortable in the safety of their own careers and reputations...as long as Hillary Clinton won and the Swamp continued as per usual — which is what nearly everyone expected. Trump's win upended all of that.
It may be years before everything is dragged out into the light — some of it may never be. But at least we're getting some sunlight in there to disinfect things. And it's fascinating to watch it unfold.
