Good morning, and welcome to RedState's "Morning Minute" — a brief glimpse at which stories are trending at the moment and a look ahead at what the day may bring. Consider this your one-stop shop for news to kickstart your day.
TOP O' THE MORNIN'
Jennings' work on CNN can not be admired enough. He is a gem on a network that would typically hire a token Republican sheep to get slaughtered by the four-on-one panels. And yet, he oftentimes ends up vanquishing his liberal foes and their hollow arguments rather easily.
While utterly pathetic, it’s also kind of funny—especially now that Trump and the GOP have thoroughly crushed the Dems and sent the biased media into paroxysms of navel-gazing and crocodile tears.

But tell us how you really feel, Megyn (Honestly, how great has she been ever since being unleashed on her podcast, saying what she truly thinks?).
WHAT'S ON TAP?
Today on Capitol Hill...
It's a bit busier on the Hill Tuesday, with several meetings and hearings set, including:
- House Transportation and Infrastructure, Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management Subcommittee — "In the Eye of the Storm: Oversight of FEMA's Disaster Readiness and Response"
- House Homeland Security, Transportation and Maritime Security Subcommittee — "Impacts of Emergency Authority Cybersecurity Regulations on the Transportation Sector"
- Senate Judiciary — Hearings to examine breaking the Visa-Mastercard duopoly, focusing on bringing competition and lower fees to the credit card system
- House Veterans' Affairs — Restoring Congressional Power over VA After Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo
- House Homeland Security, Border Security and Enforcement Subcommittee — "Trafficked, Exploited, and Missing: Migrant Children Victims of the Biden-Harris Administration" (witnesses include HHS whistleblower Tara Rodas)
- House Oversight and Accountability — “Oversight of the Federal Emergency Management Agency”
- Senate Judiciary, Privacy, Technology, and the Law Subcommittee — Hearings to examine China's cybersecurity threat, focusing on big hacks and big tech
- Joint Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe (U.S. Helsinki Commission) — Hearings to examine 1000 days of Russia's war on Ukraine

White House What's Up
President Joe Biden is still at the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro. He'll participate in day two of the Summit on Tuesday, then have lunch with Brazil's President Lula da Silva before heading back to the states, where he's due to arrive at Joint Base Andrews late Tuesday night.
Full Court Press...
It could be a busy day court-wise. Judge Juan Merchan, having postponed it for a week, is set to deliver his decision Tuesday on the presidential immunity issue and its impact on President-elect Donald Trump's Manhattan criminal trial, while the decision on sentencing is set, currently, for next Tuesday. It's also possible we'll see a decision from the appellate court in the civil fraud appeal. Maybe.
Meanwhile, the trial of Daniel Penny continues in New York and that of Jose Ibarra in Georgia.
On Monday, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court told board of elections officials in the commonwealth to knock off their shenanigans in no uncertain terms. Also, the Georgia appellate court considering the appeal regarding whether Fani Willis should be allowed to remain on the election interference case canceled oral argument that had been set for early December. No word yet on the why of that, though it could simply be the court plans to rule on the briefs and doesn't believe argument necessary.
MORNING MUSING
There's a lot going on in the world at the moment — a new administration taking shape, the current commander in chief shrinking daily on the world stage, some rather intriguing hearings being held on Capitol Hill, lots of developments in the legal realm, some concerning moves being made by foreign foes. It's rather — as the kids might say — "extra." All I can suggest is that everyone buckle up. We may be in for some turbulence.
