After news broke on Tuesday of the passing of Rev. Jesse Jackson, President Trump eulogized the 84-year-old twice-failed Democrat presidential candidate in a Truth Social post, writing that he "knew him well, long before becoming President."
As RedState reported, Trump took a swing at his critics as well over their constant false accusations of "racism," noting that "Despite the fact that I am falsely and consistently called a Racist by the Scoundrels and Lunatics on the Radical Left, Democrats ALL, it was always my pleasure to help Jesse along the way."
For people who have been paying attention to how the far left and their mainstream media allies have operated over the last several decades when it comes to Republican public figures, Trump's commentary on the racism claims was a statement of fact, and one that almost goes without saying. But for at least one reporter in the White House press briefing room on Wednesday, it was something that bizarrely deserved a follow-up.
CBS News senior White House political correspondent Ed O'Keefe was the reporter. The question he asked was "Where or when does the president believe he's been falsely called a racist?"
In response, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt asked, "You're kidding, right?" which drew laughs from others in the room. Because the list of examples is extensive, Leavitt promised to get her team on making one to release to the press.
“I will pull you a plethora of examples. I'm going to get my team in that room to start going through the internet of radical Democrats throughout the years, Ed, who have accused this president falsely of being a racist, and I'm sure there's many people in this room and on network television across the country who have accused him of the same. In fact, I know that because I've seen it with my own eyes.
[...]
There's a lot this president has done for all Americans regardless of race and he has absolutely been falsely called and smeared as a racist, and I am happy to provide you those receipts and we gladly will right after this briefing.”

The White House's Rapid Response X account immediately jumped into action with those receipts. Here are a few examples, one of which was former President Joe Biden himself:

Here was Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14), who is rumored to be considering a 2028 presidential run, not just calling Trump a racist but also a "neo-Nazi" during her first month in Congress in 2019:
Radical Left lunatics and disgusting Fake News hacks have been saying this since the day he came down the golden escalator, @edokeefe — because they can't stand the fact that he sees people as one thing: Americans. (Case-in-point: AOC, every other day)

Other examples include "straight news" pieces from the likes of CNN, where they point-blank called Trump a "racist" without any qualifiers. Here's one such headline from the summer of 2019: Trump said ‘many people agree’ with his racist tweets. These white supremacists certainly do.
There's much more where that came from, but perhaps the most notable example, again, comes from Biden, who launched his 2020 presidential election campaign around the thoroughly debunked "very fine people" lie the MSM and Democrats spread about Trump's comments in the aftermath of the 2017 Charlottesville "Unite the Right" rally/protest that left one woman dead.
“With those words, the president of the United States assigned a moral equivalence between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it,” Biden said in his April 2019 campaign launch video. “And in that moment, I knew the threat to this nation was unlike any I’d ever seen in my lifetime.”
I could go on and on, but I think the point has been made. The lamestream media is, once again, doing lamestream media things. Film at 11.
Editor's Note: The mainstream media continues to deflect, gaslight, spin, and lie about President Trump, his administration, and conservatives.
