As RedState has reported, Florida is not one of those states where you're going to see a lot of anti-ICE protesting. But when you do, and the supposedly "peaceful protester" decides to get violent, that agitator is probably going to wish they were in Minneapolis or Philadelphia, because law enforcement does not play in the Sunshine State.
For instance, as we previously reported, we saw this on Tuesday, when an anti-ICE woman from Jacksonville allegedly punched a state trooper during an immigration enforcement operation that also involved ICE. The deranged woman, identified by Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier as Jennifer Cruz, was immediately taken into custody and stuffed in the back of what appeared to be a squad car after allegedly also kicking at officers.
"Let me just tell you guys, this is not Minneapolis," Gov. Ron DeSantis said in response during a press conference. "That is not going to end well for you in Florida […] the idea that you’re going to assault one of our troopers is unacceptable, and you are going to face consequences as a result."
On Thursday, a presser was held in Polk County, Florida, where the state's CFO, Blaise Ingoglia, appeared with law enforcement leaders, including Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, to reveal additional ways the state was exploring to crack down on illegal immigrants.
It was Judd, however, who stole the show, putting on a clinic not only in shutting down a woke reporter who referred to illegal immigrants as "undocumented immigrants" but also in explaining exactly why DHS has surged resources into blue states like Minnesota, and why we're seeing so many violent riots in turn: Because Democrat so-called leaders in those states refuse to cooperate by turning criminal illegals who have been arrested over to ICE. This gives the agents no choice but to go looking in communities for them instead, which sets the stage for the "peaceful protests" and riots.

This is a very important message we're seeing come from members of the Trump administration as well, including from both President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. But to see it coming from a law enforcement leader at a local level who has been on the ground and involved in the nitty-gritty of the day-to-day operations really drives the point home.
It's one of the best explainers you'll ever see as to the differences between red states and blue states in terms of not only where you're seeing the biggest crackdowns on illegals -- but why they have to happen: Because Democrat officials prioritize criminal illegals over the safety and well-being of American citizens.
That's a seriously bad look for Democrats, and voters across the country need to be reminded of it going into the 2026 midterm campaign season.
