'Game Changer': DHS Puts Masked Portland Wacktivists on Notice With Latest Announcement

One of the most notorious tactics employed by left-wing agitators during their so-called "peaceful protests" is to try and conceal their identities by wearing a bandana or scarf that partially covers their faces, ski mask-style facial coverings, or some type of character mask that obscures pretty much everything but their eyes.

More recently in Portland, however, the nightly rabble rousers have, in many instances, begun wearing full costumes in front of the city's ICE facility as a way to distract and deceive federal law enforcement, something we also saw during some of the "No Kings" protests in mid-October.

Here are a couple of examples:

To combat this, new rules that were set to take effect in January outside the facility are now in effect - rules that relate to masks and any other type of attempt by demonstrators to conceal their identities:

Here are more details from the DHS website. Make sure to click the link and go to the "prohibited conduct" section for the full list:

All persons are prohibited from engaging in the following conduct, on federal property or in areas outside federal property, that affects, threatens, or endangers federal property or persons on the federal property —

(a) Disorderly conduct, which includes, but is not limited to, assaulting, fighting, harassing, intimidating, threatening or other violent behavior, lewd acts, or the inappropriate disposal of feces, urine, and other bodily fluids.

(b) Wearing a mask, hood, disguise, or device that conceals the identity of the wearer when attempting to avoid detection or identification while violating any federal, state, or local law, ordinance, or regulation.

(c) Creating a loud or unusual noise, noxious odor, or other nuisance.

According to Katie Daviscourt, who is an investigative reporter for The Post Millennial and who spoke at President Donald Trump's Antifa roundtable in early October, the advantages brought about by the new policy are a "game changer" in the ongoing battle between the leftist militants, their Democrat/media apologists, and the Trump administration:

In DHS' announcement on the matter, they noted that the "accelerated effective date" of the policy was due to the sharp uptick in violence against federal immigration officers and detention centers. Other highlights of the policy include:

  • Expanded Charging Authority: FPS now has enhanced charging authority to address violations occurring both on and off property to the extent it affects federal property and the persons thereon.
  • Modernized Prohibited Conduct: Regulates the unauthorized use of unmanned aircraft systems (drones), tampering with digital networks, and other security risks at and near federal facilities.
  • Additional Prohibited Conduct: Adds additional charges for conduct affecting the safety, security, and orderly government functions on federal property.
  • Clearer Public Notice: Standardized notices governing conduct will be posted at federal facilities.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: The regulation emphasizes cooperation among federal tenants, security personnel, and local law enforcement.

If it's like everything else, the new policy surely will be challenged in the courts. In the meantime, at least ICE agents now have more tools at their disposal to combat the agitators and quell the lawless mobs that Democrats keep telling us don't exist.

Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
