The Democrat infighting in the Maine Senate race continues, and we are so here for it.
When last we left you, we learned that Graham Platner, the Bernie Sanders-backed candidate who has accused Israel of "genocide," was enmeshed in multiple self-inflicted scandals, most of which centered around his time as a Reddit commenter, with some dating back to 2013 and others as recent as 2021, and which included Platner boasting about being a communist and bashing law enforcement officers as "b**tards."
There was also an unhealthy dose of self-loathing towards rural white Americans and racially insensitive posts about how black people tip at restaurants, as well as some sexual assault victim-shaming. Though he blamed it on him just being an "internet sh**poster," the revelation that he has a Nazi-themed tattoo has been harder for the veteran to shake (he said it happened in 2007, that he was drunk in Croatia when he got it, and has since covered it with another tattoo since the story broke).

Sanders, Platner, and many of Platner's supporters have been quick to tout Platner's purported oyster farmer "working class" roots. But even that has come under scrutiny, with allegations that Platner is a "nepo baby" running wild, and with confirmation that the "working class" claims are more than a little dubious hitting the internet on Thursday:
Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner, the self-described "working class Mainer," attended an elite boarding school in Connecticut that costs upwards of $75,000 a year. Its alumni include Supreme Court justice Potter Stewart, former CIA director Porter Goss, Clinton family crony Strobe Talbott, MacKenzie Scott Bezos, and the veteran news anchor Chris Wallace.

The revelation undercuts the working-class image Platner has attempted to present on the campaign trail.
More troubling are the views Platner expressed while in high school, which in many ways turned out to be a preview of who we are seeing today:
A yearbook photo of the award shows a young Platner holding a piece of paper calling to "Free" Chechnya, Kosovo, and "Palestine." Platner also penned an op-ed for the Bangor Daily News that equated post-9/11 terrorist groups with "freedom fighters" and lamented that "every terrorist is portrayed as evil" in the media.
Graham Platner is not working class.

He came from a wealthy and prominent local family and attended an expensive college prep school where he was billed in the yearbook as 'Most Likely to Start a Revolution' while holding up a 'Free Palestine sign

Despite all this, Sanders is still standing with him and is blaming the Schumer machine primarily due to the fact that the Senate Minority Leader has backed Gov. Janet Mills' Senate campaign.
Bernie Sanders on why he still endorses Graham Platner: "I'm not overly impressed by a squad of media running around saying, 'what do you think about the tattoo on Graham Platner's chest?'"

Whatever the case may be, the more "Dems in disarray" the better. I stand by with popcorn in hand, eager for the next developments.
Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
