MSNBC Host Proves Media Has Learned Nothing in Disgusting Rant on Tesla Showroom Violence

As RedState previously reported, the leftist rage against DOGE leader Elon Musk in the aftermath of the inauguration of Donald Trump quickly manifested itself into protests and then violence, with some Tesla showrooms being set on fire and shots also being fired over the last two months.

We've also seen violent acts of sabotage at Tesla charging stations, with one of the more recent ones involving Molotov cocktails being thrown by a deranged person who allegedly also used spray paint to deliver a "F*** Trump, long live Ukraine" message.

The North Charleston (SC) Police Department report noted that witnesses claimed the attack didn't go so well for the suspect, who they said "accidentally caught their own back on fire while throwing the devices."

Predictably, some in the mainstream media are lining up to downplay the disturbing incidents and to portray them as a legitimate form of protest.

That was the gist of a disgusting rant from MSNBC host Alicia Menendez (daughter of disgraced former Democrat Sen. Bob Menendez), who on Tuesday night used comments President Trump made about the violence while standing next to Musk to essentially denounce him for wanting to label them domestic terrorists.

In the clip she showed of Trump speaking, he was expressly talking about those who committed violence, not those who were showing up with signs to protest, vowing the violent perps would "go through hell" once they were caught and brought to justice.

Here's a transcript of Menendez's remarks:

And then you also, overnight, have this post claiming that protests at Tesla dealerships are illegal. He said today he would label violence against dealerships domestic terrorism. Now, you know I am judicious in how I play this sound, but I think you need to hear it from him.

So, just to be clear, you protest a private company, you are labeled by this administration a domestic terrorist. You show up at the US Capitol on Jan. 6 with the intent to overturn a fair and free election, and you get a pardon.

The comment she's referring to regarding the claim that "protests" were "illegal" came from a Truth Social post written by Trump early Tuesday morning, where he talked about how "radical left lunatics" were "illegally and collusively boycott[ing] Tesla."

While I assume Trump was referring to the violence from the anti-Tesla/Elon crowd in his Truth Social post, there was no ambiguity in what Menendez said. She specifically indicated that the comments Trump made while standing beside Musk were about the violence - and yet Menendez still opposed him labeling them as domestic terrorists.

As far as I'm concerned, this is another variation of the "mostly peaceful protests" garbage we got from the likes of MSNBC and other "news" outlets during the George Floyd riots in the summer of 2020, with Menendez seeming to implicitly endorse the violence as long as it's supposedly for a good (in her view) cause or whatever.

It's just as despicable now as it was then and again demonstrates that the MSM has learned absolutely nothing from the 2024 presidential election. Nothing.
