Introducing the Democrats' *Other* Mad Maxine Problem

When the term "Mad Maxine" is used in political conversations, it's usually meant to describe the original Mad Maxine: Rep. Maxine Waters, the entrenched California Democrat who has more than earned the nickname with her unhinged words and actions during the course of her decades on Capitol Hill.

Perhaps the most notorious of all was the time in the summer of 2018 when Waters infamously encouraged angry leftists to get in the faces of Trump administration officials no matter where they saw them. Disgustingly, she said this one year after the attempted assassinations of Republican lawmakers on an Alexandria, Virginia softball field by a deranged supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

Most recently, Waters has been one of the faces of the anti-DOGE Resistance™ movement, yelling and screaming at a lone man keeping fanatical Democrat members of Congress from storming the Dept. of Education and using expletives to demand DOGE leader Elon Musk's presence.

As it turns out, Maxine Waters is not the only Mad Maxine in the House using expletives to try and get her point across. There's another one, a freshman Congresswoman by the name of Maxine Dexter.

Dexter, a former member of the Oregon House, ran for office against three other Democrats in the primary. One of them was Rep. Pramila Jayapal's sister, Susheela, who was endorsed by Sanders. Dexter ended up winning the primary in 2024 and went on to easily win the November election for Oregon's Third Congressional District against her Republican opponent, Joanna Harbour.

But while Dexter saved us from having another Democrat member of Pramila Jayapal's family in Congress, what she did usher forth was more leftist fruitcakery, which was evident during a Tuesday protest she spoke at in which she said something she is probably badly wishing she could take back.

The cringe remarks were made amid the American Federation of Government Employees rally, where dozens gathered to express their anger at Musk for the apparent crime of cutting waste, fraud, and abuse at federal institutions.

Dexter, who introduced the doomed "Stop Musk Act" on Friday, stepped up to the microphone to briefly share her .02 on the allegedly dire nature of things when this unfortunate moment happened:

“I’ve been told I have 30 seconds so I am gonna to tell you that we do have to — I don’t swear in public very well, but we have to f**k Trump! Please don't tell my children that I just did that!”

This is the point when I (again) ask, "Why are Democrats always so bad at this?" Not only do I look forward to reading the reasons readers suggest in the comments, but I'm also looking forward to seeing this woman's words used in future campaign ads against the Democrat Party.  Because I'm pretty sure the last thing Democrats wanted to contend with was another Mad Maxine to have to try and contain. ;)
