Even the Democrat-friendly mainstream media weren’t happy when a smiling House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) passed out souvenir pens and other Democrats posed for selfies during the impeachment resolution signing ceremony earlier this month. It was in stark contrast to the “sad and somber” face Democrats (and their press allies) tried and failed to put on the issue of impeaching President Trump.

Fast forward two weeks later and Trump is having his revenge on a number of fronts.

The big one, obviously, is the failure of Senate Democrats to muster up enough votes to force “new witness” testimony in the impeachment trial. The second one took place earlier this week during the USMCA signing ceremony, as Fox News reports:

President Trump appeared to mock House Speaker Nancy Pelosi this week by gleefully handing out souvenir pens at the USMCA signing ceremony — a move that came after Pelosi was slammed for handing out souvenir pens with her name on them on the day she signed the resolution to transmit two articles of impeachment against Trump to the Senate.

Trump, who was celebrating one of his largest economic policy victories with the signing of the USMCA trade deal between the U.S., Mexico and Canada — he promised to renegotiate NAFTA during his campaign — seemed to call back to Pelosi’s controversial moment as he shoveled handfuls of pens at lookers-on Wednesday.

With the final Senate trial vote scheduled for Wednesday, handing out acquittal pens during the SOTU on Tuesday is off the table. It’s a darned good idea, though. 😉

By the way, Trump’s not the only one mocking Pelosi this week. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) made the “Pelosi clap” gesture on the floor of the U.S. Senate earlier today, enraging Democrats while making people with an actual sense of humor laugh.
