Fox News reports on how House Judiciary Committee Chair Jerry Nadler (NY-17) reportedly passed out earlier today during an event with Mayor Bill de Blasio:
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler had to receive medical attention Friday after a health scare at an event in New York City.
Despite reports that the powerful New York Democrat appeared to pass out, his office said he merely felt ill but did not faint. A spokesman for Nadler told Fox News that the congressman is “okay” and “seems to have been dehydrated,” describing the room as “very warm.”
Nadler, 71, was speaking at a press conference on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, alongside 2020 Democratic hopeful New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, when the incident happened. De Blasio could be seen checking on him and patting him on the shoulder, as someone brought over a glass of water.
Fox News is told the congressman was being taken to a hospital in an ambulance.
“He is now responsive and receiving a check-up,” a spokesman told Fox News.
Here are two different videos of De Blasio trying to help Nadler, who appeared unresponsive and disoriented for a few seconds:

Nadler (or whoever handles his Twitter feed) tweeted out this message later in the day:
Appreciate everyone's concern. Was very warm in the room this morning, was obviously dehydrated and felt a bit ill. Glad to receive fluids and am feeling much better. Thank you for your thoughts.

Glad to hear he’s doing better.
The incident was reminiscent of a health scare involving then-candidate for president Hillary Clinton during a 9/11 remembrance event in 2016:
A frail-looking Hillary Clinton collapsed during the 9/11 memorial service in lower Manhattan on Sunday morning — prompting Secret Service agents to grab her arms to prop her up and help her into a campaign van.
The 68-year-old Democratic nominee appeared to fall ill while standing amid other politicians shortly before a moment of silence at 9:58 a.m., sources told The Post.
Videos posted online showed a wobbly Clinton leaning against a metal bollard on the perimeter of the memorial plaza. Secret Service agents grabbed hold of both her arms as she swayed and stumbled off the sidewalk along West Street.
The video shows Clinton’s head bobbling as she pitched forward before being lifted into the van.

Clinton’s personal physician Dr. Lisa Bardack later said the former Secretary of State had been suffering from pneumonia, and “became overheated and dehydrated” during the 9/11 ceremony.
There’s no official word yet on whether or not Nadler is still in the hospital.
