Senate candidate Graham Platner (D-ME) is facing renewed scrutiny after old posts from a now-deleted Reddit account were unearthed, revealing explicit personal anecdotes tied to his military service.
Platner is, how does one put this nicely, a vile, bottom-feeding cretin. This much is already common knowledge. It's widely known that he has a chest tattoo of a skull-and-crossbones design known as the Totenkopf, a symbol long associated with Nazi SS units and concentration camp guards.
He's engaged in victim-blaming of sexual assault survivors. Posted homophobic jokes. Called rural white Americans racist and stupid. Oh, and referred to himself as a card-carrying Communist.
Other than that, Democrats want you to believe he's a swell guy. Basically, Ward Cleaver. The party that once painted Mitt Romney as the second coming of the antichrist for having binders of qualified women wants you to think the Nazi-adjacent Platner is just a peach.
Let's just go ahead and dive into some of these newly unearthed social media posts from Graham and see how much of a charming individual he is, shall we?
WARNING: Some of the following Platner-endorsed thoughts use strong language and graphic imagery. Be advised.
Platner's newly revealed comments include references to sexual activity prompted by the smell of portable toilets and detailed descriptions of vulgar graffiti in military restrooms.
Keep in mind that this creature is the presumptive Democratic nominee to challenge incumbent Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME). He's the best Democrats have to offer in the Pine Tree State.
Among the newly unearthed posts from Platner’s now-deleted “P-Hustle” Reddit account, one from March 2017 in the r/Military forum addressed what he considers a favorite pastime in the portapotty:
"I still have to jerk off every time I sit in a porta-s***ter… that blue water smell conditioned me."

In a March 2021 post in the r/USMC forum, Platner responded to a thread about “GWOT D*** Art” by praising an explicit penis drawing in a portable toilet.
"Oh s---!!!," Platner wrote. "You’ve got the Hot Rod C--- from Manas!"
"I sat there in sheer awe. The soul filling joy to be allowed to witness such glory," he added, describing the graffiti as “beautiful,” “engorged and veiny,” and moving “towards its penetrative glory.”
Cute. Incidentally, I saw Penetrative Glory open for Nine Inch Nails back in 1992. But, I digress.
"Graham Platner’s explicit sexual behavior in public restrooms is deviant and deeply disturbing, especially from a man who blamed victims of sexual assault for their own rapes," said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell.
Platner's admission that he can't keep his hands off himself in the porta-john could raise some legal questions under Maine law. Public masturbation or genital exposure in a place open to the public — including portable toilets on military bases, job sites, or events — is typically prosecutable as indecent conduct under Maine statute 17-A §854, a Class E crime when it is likely to cause affront or alarm.
Repeated instances in places one frequents could meet the "course of conduct" or "serious criminal act" threshold for harassment, especially if they cause someone fear. Who wouldn’t be afraid to be around Platner in a public restroom at this point? Were there witnesses to Graham's gross behavior? So many questions.
These are years-old posts. No formal complaints or charges have surfaced. But has the described pattern of sexual activity in shared public facilities crossed beyond crude humor?
Additionally, it appears that in a 2019 Reddit comment posted by Magdi Jacobs, a freelance journalist with bylines in The Washington Post and Foreign Policy, using the same "P-Hustle" account, mocked U.S. Army Pfc. Ted Daniels who was seen in a video being shot by the Taliban.
"This video never gets old. Dumb motherf***er didn't deserve to live," he allegedly wrote of Daniels, a father of two and Purple Heart recipient who had deliberately drawn enemy fire to protect his squad.
"At least his stupidity and fat a** wheezing are available for all future infantrymen to witness and hold in contempt," he continued. "Poor marksmanship on the Taliban's part is the only reason this mouthbreather made it home, he managed to make every possible s*** decision possible when it comes to small unit combat."
In 2019, seven years ago, when he was 34-years-old, Graham Platner logged into reddit and posted a response to a video of an American soldier being shot by the Taliban.

Think about each line. "This video never gets old." Platner's implying he's watched the video several times and enjoys it. "At least his stupidity and fat a** wheezing are available for all future infantrymen to witness and hold in contempt."
That's what Platner thinks about his fellow Americans at war. If they're not good at killing or broader tactics, he has contempt for them. He displays no empathy. The opposite, in fact.
The man that Platner is commenting on, by the way, is Pfc. Ted Daniels, who was a 37-year-old father of two serving in Afghanistan at the time of the incident (2012). The bad tactic Platner enjoys mocking? Daniels stepped into the open deliberately to draw Taliban fire away from his fellow soldiers so his squad could get to safety.
Daniels was shot four times in this video and, ultimately, earned a Purple Heart.
When the video was initially released (2013), Pfc. Daniels was critical of himself in interviews, saying, "It wasn't the most tactically brilliant thing to do." He described that he was embarrassed by the video; that people could hear him screaming for help. But, also, he said: "I put my a** on the line for other guys."
Then, we have, again, Graham Platner, logging into reddit, in 2019, to comment: "Dumb motherf***er didn't deserve to live."
For all those who say, "That's just how Marines talk," I'll tell you: Platner's comment got downvoted by the military community. Even if it didn't: We're not talking about the military anymore. We're talking about a 34-year-old man, years after service, logging in to mock another man who's being shot on video. We're also talking about the U.S. Senate, not boys-will-be-boys or Marines-will-be-Marines.
We're always told to view Platner as a changed man. 2013, when he made the rape apologia comments, was the "darkest point in his life," or so we have been told. So what was going on in 2019, such that Platner enjoyed watching a video of a man getting shot and mocking him? How many arcs of change are there in Platner's life? Was there a specific point where he discovered human empathy?
I couldn't help but think of that specific reddit comment while watching the video below. "Still sending young Americans to die thousands of miles away from home," Platner says. Didn't he log in to reddit seven years ago to say, "Dumb motherf***er didn't deserve to live"?
I don't like being lied to.
Platner was already a deeply disgusting candidate long before these latest revelations, but his own graphic admissions about masturbating in porta-potties and swooning over explicit graffiti have managed to make him even more repulsive.
And yet, he's the cream of the crop for the resistance party these days. A white, Nazi tattoo-painted, public masturbating machine to fight fascism ... or something.
Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
