DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin held nothing back when discussing Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Thursday. He referred to the top Democrat as the very “definition of a lying scumbag politician” after the New York lawmaker took to the Senate floor and disparaged ICE and Border Patrol agents.
Good Lord, this was glorious.
Before we get to Mullin's complete annihilation, it's important to review the comments that ol' Cryin' Chuck made, setting him off. Schumer referred to law enforcement as "unchecked rogue agencies that are dreaded in all corners of the country."
You know who dreads ICE and Border Patrol? Criminals. Illegal aliens. And they should.
Schumer went on to suggest Republicans do not care about rising costs for Americans and instead side with "masked agents occupying our streets."
"America is crying out for relief on high costs, and you’re here adding $140 billion to an agency that nobody – to two groups, Border Patrol and ICE, that nobody respects in this country," he said.

Mullin, in an appearance with Fox News Congressional Correspondent Bill Melugin, thoroughly eviscerated Schumer for his comments and for his overall love of illegal aliens.
"Chuck Schumer—No one respects you," Mullin said. "The definition of a lying scumbag politician—That is you. You would be the definition if you Googled you right now."
No lies detected. At all.
I took the liberty of googling that, and, yes, Schumer ended up on a list of four politicians, along with Senators Adam Schiff (D-CA), Ted Cruz (R-TX), and former Republican Rep. George Santos. (Sorry, Ted. I'm guessing the algorithm was swayed a bit by Trump's old nickname. I'm just the messenger.)

“I mean, why don’t he just come out and be honest with the American people?" Mullin continued. "He wants to have open borders. If you want to defund the Customs and Border Protection Agency, if you want to defund ICE, who is in there arresting the criminals that—the laws were passed by you, you had time to change those during the Biden administration."
"You didn’t because you’re for open borders, and you’re for the criminals running amok in our cities."
Democrats love them some criminals. They love chaos on the streets.
Mullin then challenged Schumer to walk the streets without a security detail.
"For you to say that is so disrespectful to the law enforcement that is out there protecting you, because he has a detail with him. How about he walks around these city streets without a detail?" he prodded. "I wonder how safe he would feel."
To be fair, Schumer hasn't been "honest with the American people" since he came out of the womb, so why would he start now? It's what makes him the scumbag he is.
In reality, however, Americans do respect Border Patrol and ICE. A solid 73 percent say criminal illegal aliens should be deported, with over half extending that to all illegal aliens with no lawful right to be here. They respect and appreciate the job that law enforcement is doing.
Meanwhile, the people are not all that thrilled with the lying politician contingent. Congressional job approval is at or near record lows as of April 2026, with recent polling showing only 10% to 14% of Americans approve of their efforts.
