Minnesota Governor Tim Walz spoke at a rally for military veterans on Wednesday at the Capital Rotunda and was interrupted by hecklers who showered him with insults as he tried to make remarks.

Several veterans holding American flags and signs that read "Take Action" stood in the audience and disrupted the former vice presidential candidate's speech.

One veteran could be heard shouting that Walz is a "coward," while another suggested he sympathizes “with the Chinese.”

KSTP-TV in Saint Paul, Minnesota, reports that "some are still angry about his military record, that was amplified during his vice presidential campaign."

One particularly passionate defender of the governor tried to counter the protest by classily telling the veterans to "shut your f**king mouth."

“Hey, there’s some passion in the building, which is a good thing,” Walz said, trying to tamp down the energy.

Walz eventually was able to continue speaking, arguing that he would fully fund veterans in his state.

“We’re going to have a debate, but I’ve made it clear I will not compromise with you on the budget,” he said. “I will not compromise in the space of veterans’ issues. We will fund them to where they need to be.”

He then mocked those who voted for President Trump.

"Some of these guys voted for what’s happening at the VA, and they don’t like it," he said. “So if you want to fight social issues, if you want to fight issues on transportation or who the hell uses a bathroom, go fight ’em."

“But if you want to fight for veterans, come in here, get behind the right budget and pass it!”

A Combat Vet Who Was Part of an Actual Ramp Ceremony Destroys Tim Walz's 'Stolen Honor' Story

This isn't the first time Tim Walz has been ridiculed by veterans who believe he, as KSTP said, "amplified" his military service. Fifteen Medal of Honor recipients who endorsed President Trump a month before the election took a pointed jab at Kamala's running mate.

"We believe fabricating military service is beneath the dignity of a veteran and demeaning to those who have served honorably in the Armed Forces," they said in their statement.

Walz has faced accusations of "stolen valor" by critics who claim he misrepresented his military service by stating he carried weapons "in war" despite never serving in a combat zone.

Walz, who served 24 years in various Army National Guard units, was never in a combat zone and ultimately had to admit through Harris's campaign that he "misspoke."

Claims also surfaced that Walz resigned just before his unit was scheduled to go to Iraq and has been misrepresenting his final rank

“What bothers me about Tim Walz is the stolen valor garbage," Vice President JD Vance said on the campaign trail last summer. "Do not pretend to be something that you’re not.”

President Trump took a shot at Walz during the famous Al Smith dinner prior to the election.

“Unfortunately, Governor Walz isn’t here himself,” he quipped. “But don’t worry, he’ll say that he was.”
