The White House released a video showing the arrival of the United States Marine Corps at the southern border, which was hailed as yet another promise kept by an administration not yet a week old.
The video, posted to X, shows Boeing V-22 Osprey aircraft arriving in an area of the border where a big beautiful wall has been constructed. The official website of the Marines describes the V-22 Osprey's primary function as "amphibious assault transport of troops, equipment and supplies from assault ships and land bases" for "special operations missions."
Right now, stopping the invasion at the southern border is the Trump administration's main operation mission. While his predecessor was sending tanks to protect Ukraine's borders, President Trump is sending military resources to protect our own.
What a shift in priorities.
"The US Marine Corps Is On The Border Assisting CBP With The Mission To Secure America," the White House X account captioned the video. "Promise Made --> Promise KEPT!"

Fox News national correspondent Bill Melugin published additional photos of the Marines' arrival at the southern border. Melugin, per his sources, was also able to provide information on where these troops were stationed.
"Per NORTHCOM, the Marines are from the 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division, & the 7th Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group," he reported. "Both Camp Pendleton."
The imagery of Marines arriving to aid battle-weary but freshly re-energized U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents seems almost out of a movie. The cavalry, as they say, has arrived.

These images come less than 100 hours after President Trump signed several executive orders specifically designated to address the crisis at the Southern border. Pivotal among them was a declaration of emergency at the southern border.
The order reads in part:
Section 1. Deployment of Personnel and Resources. The Secretary of Defense, or the Secretary of each relevant military department, as appropriate and consistent with applicable law, shall order as many units or members of the Armed Forces, including the Ready Reserve and the National Guard, as the Secretary of Defense determines to be appropriate to support the activities of the Secretary of Homeland Security in obtaining complete operational control of the southern border of the United States.

Opinion: Sending Troops to the Border Is Great but They Need the Proper Organization to Be Effective
It is, without a doubt, a breath of fresh air, seeing not only the Marines heading to the border to help keep America safe and secure but also the widescale effort and focus of resources being put into place to benefit the people.
Again, the contrast is remarkable. It was just two years ago that former President Joe Biden announced he was escalating the war in Ukraine by sending tanks to protect the Eastern European nation's border.
Couldn't bother with sending resources to protect Texas or Arizona. Couldn't bother with a wall that he put a stop to on his first day in office. Ukraine, however, needed to secure its border. That was the priority.
Political analyst Tucker Carlson, in the early days of the conflict with Russia, vehemently opposed sending American military resources to Ukraine.
“I know from a Ukrainian perspective it’s incredibly important, but why is it important enough to risk American lives to preserve the territorial integrity of Ukraine when – by the way, our own territorial integrity has been flagrantly violated by a million foreign nationals coming in ..." he demanded to know in an interview with Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH).
Carlson was ahead of the times. Fortunately, we now have a President who can catch people up by putting America first.
“We guard other people’s borders, but we don’t guard our own,” Trump said on the campaign trail.
No more.
