Cop That Killed Botham Jean, Fired by the Dallas Police Department

Dallas Police Chief U. Reneé Hall has fired Officer Amber Guyger, who shot and killed her neighbor, Botham Jean, after mistakenly entering his apartment, according to Guyger.

The firing comes following an investigation into Guyger’s conduct and subsequent arrest on September 9th. Hall states the investigation concluded that Guyger “engaged in adverse conduct when she was arrested for Manslaughter.”

Guyger, who has been on administrative leave since the shooting, is allowed to appeal the decision under civil service rules.
