We've been seeing a lot of fun surrounding the World Cup so far, with a lot of our guests finding out all the wonderful things about America. Meanwhile, we've discovered some of their fun traditions as well, such as the Tartan Army can probably sing or drink anyone under the table, and the Norwegians have brought back rowing, with style.

It's some time yet until the final game on July 19.

But as our sister site Townhall reported, the president of FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association), Gianni Infantino, disclosed on Fox and Friends something that's likely to cause a leftist meltdown. Brian Kilmeade reminded him that President Donald Trump had given out the club trophy, and he asked whether he would be handing out the World Cup trophy?

"We're going to be together with the President, enjoying the Final and handing the trophy to the winner, of course, together," Infantino said. "Of course, we are together all the time." Infantino and Trump will be presenting it to the captain of the winning team.

Here's what Brian was talking about with the club trophy last year.

It's not unusual.

Although recent World Cups have been handed to the victors by Infantino and his predecessor as FIFA president, Sepp Blatter, heads of state have previously presented the World Cup trophy.

King Juan Carlos of Spain handed the World Cup to Italy captain Dino Zoff in 1982, and England captain Bobby Moore was given the trophy by Queen Elizabeth II following the Three Lions' success in 1966.

You know folks on the left are going to lose it. I'm even seeing some people suggesting/joking (?) on X that Iran should win, so Trump would have to give them the trophy. Imagine how twisted you have to be to go there.

White House World Cup Task Force director Andrew Giuliani said Trump had been closely following the tournament, although he hadn't yet been able to get to a game. Giuliani said Trump was also very impressed with the U.S. team.

“I spoke to him a day or two after the U.S. won against Paraguay,” Giuliani told The Telegraph. “He’s pumped. He understands this is a really good team that has a really special opportunity here.”

Imagine if the U.S. won? That would be quite the event with Trump presenting.
