President Donald Trump attended the third game of the NBA finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the New York Knicks on Monday.

In the run-up to the game, the Democrats showed that even on that subject, they couldn't be straight with the American people. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) claimed it wasn't even clear that Trump was a Knicks fan, when it's well known, as a born and bred New Yorker, Trump has been a fan for decades.

As we reported, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver even nuked that ridiculous take against Trump.

Trump got a lot of cheers on the way in.

Trump used to sit courtside. He even once had Charles Oakley land in his lap. Now, for his own safety, he was in Madison Square Garden boss James Dolan's suite, surrounded by bulletproof glass.

Trump got some boos inside. But he took them in stride, even grinning at them, as he saluted the flag during the anthem.

Trump also fist pumped to a very loud "USA! USA!" chant.

Trump was recognized for the history-making nature of the visit: "Tonight, President Donald Trump becomes the first sitting United States President to attend an NBA finals game."

At halftime, Trump went down to the court after singer Cardi B’s performance, and people in the crowd waved and took video of him.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and Bruce Blakeman, the presumptive Republican nominee for New York governor, both spoke with Trump while he was there.

It didn't end well for the Knicks, however. They lost 115-111, so the series goes 2-1 now, with the Knicks up. Trump still enjoyed the hard-fought game.

“The game was fantastic. Well-played by both teams. We all had a lot of fun. It was great to watch very talented players,” Trump told reporters before departing JFK Airport to return to Washington.
