Hakeem Jeffries Files Laughable Hurt Feelings Report on Trump Attending Knicks Game, Gets Dunked

You know, Democrats are used to invoking Democrat Privilege like a get out of jail free card when they've been caught saying or doing something they shouldn't have been doing, so it's not exactly a surprise they use similar tactics when it comes to acting like they own celebrities, professional sports players and events, etc.

For many years, Democrats have used their connections to the Hollywood elite and pro-sports with wild abandon to try to make themselves appear "hip" on one hand and "relatable" on the other, while painting the GOP as out of touch - and even as Republicans were making inroads with well-known figures in both industries to help get the word out about conservative ideals and the greatness of America.

Trump's arrival on the scene in Republican politics was an especially big game-changer in this effort, with Trump using professional relationships he built with cultural/celebrity/sports icons over the decades as a successful businessman and then president to help usher forth the MAGA agenda and bring along disaffected Americans who traditionally voted for Democrats in the process.

So with all of that in mind, it's no surprise at all to see Democrats like House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) fuming over Trump attending game three of the NBA finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the New York Knicks on Monday night, which will be played at Madison Square Garden.

During a congressional presser earlier in the day, Jeffries, decked out in a pale pink Knicks hat and seersucker suit, vented his frustrations, questioning whether Trump, a longtime Knicks fan, even knew enough about the team to qualify to be a fan:

It was seconds later, however, that we got to the heart of what really irked Jeffries about Trump's attendance: He would be bringing the MAGA energy along with him, and we can't have that:

Now, if this were Barack Obama or some other big-name Democrat icon, Jeffries would have made sure the red carpet was cleaned, pressed, and rolled out, complete with royal robes, whatever beverages, food, pillows, and other comforts that could be provided, etc. But because it's Trump, an actual diehard Knicks fan, all of a sudden it's a needless and disruptive distraction that will take away from the game.

And just to clear up any media/Democrat-driven misunderstandings, the idea didn't just pop up in Trump's head to attend the game. He was invited by the Knicks' owner:

Further, according to the Knicks, it wasn't Trump's fault that a watch party outside Madison Square Garden was canceled:

The Knicks are up 2-0 in the best-of-seven series. Gametime is 8:30 pm ET. Want to watch? It will be broadcast on ABC.
