Jill Biden has created a bit of a firestorm with her book.
If she thought it would clear her of the concerns people had about what she knew about her husband's issues, in fact, the book and the things she said about it just made things worse. On top of that, she's reminded everyone how bad it was under Joe Biden, and why people shouldn't vote for Democrats, right as people are gearing up for the midterms in November.
That isn't making Democrats happy, and even some former Biden aides were unhappy and speaking out. Her response to one of those aides was less than pleasant.

CNN senior data analyst Harry Enten had a funny take from the numbers from the American people when it came to the Bidens: "Go away!"
Americans have one message for the Bidens: Go away.

Joe Biden left office tremendously unpopular & remains so (-19 pt net favorable).
He's by far the least popular of any former Dem prez at this point after their presidency.

He notes how when Biden left, he was unpopular and is still quite unpopular, 19 points underwater generally, and 28 points underwater with independents.
Compared to other Democrats who occupied the Oval Office, Biden, at this point, is the lowest, by far, with others mostly above water. Bill Clinton was just slightly below water. Biden is even more unpopular than Jimmy Carter. In Enten's words, he was an "anchor" around the necks of the Democrats. That sounds about right.
How about Jill Biden? She was just two points above water, even less popular than Hillary Clinton.
As Enten notes, the episode with Biden has contributed to a distrust of the Democratic establishment. He pointed out how Kalshi was predicting a 68 percent chance that four or more Democratic House incumbents would lose their seats as a sign of that. So that's not looking good for them.
But it may get worse. Not only is Jill's tour continuing. But there may be another problem coming — Joe's book. When he had that weird, cringey moment interrupting Jill during her book interview last Tuesday, he teased that it was coming in September.

As the NY Post's Miranda Devine opined:
Democratic clean-up merchants rushed out to declare he was wrong, that no publication date has been set, and surely he wouldn’t inflict a score-settling memoir on them on the eve of the midterms. Hah!
Joe’s boast was a threat: You keep beating up on my wife, and I’ll haunt the weeks before the midterms to remind everyone why they voted for Trump.
Can you imagine what he might say in that book if it drops right before the midterms? I'd like to hear about so many things, and he's bound to verbally trip all over himself with what he says versus reality. What a gift that's likely to be for the Republicans, especially if he does a book tour. That would likely be a cornucopia of bad moments for the Democrats. And then the things that the aides and other Democrats must have on his condition and what went on behind the scenes have to be legion and might come out.
But just remember: This was what Democrats like Rep. Nancy Pelosi (CA-11) were trying to sell us about Joe Biden.
