U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) provided details concerning action from the Iranian regime late on Wednesday. They explained that Iran had launched drones posing a threat in the Strait of Hormuz, which the U.S. took out. Then the regime tried to attack Kuwait.

At 10:17 p.m. ET on May 27, Iran launched a ballistic missile toward Kuwait that was successfully intercepted by Kuwaiti forces. This egregious ceasefire violation by the Iranian regime occurred hours after Iranian forces launched five one-way attack drones that posed a clear threat in and near the Strait of Hormuz. All drones were successfully intercepted by U.S. forces which also prevented a sixth drone launch from an Iranian ground control site in Bandar Abbas.
U.S. Central Command and regional partners remain vigilant and measured as we continue to defend our forces and interests from unjustified Iranian aggression," the statement added.
The U.S. attacked the drone launch site at Bandar Abbas, which is located on the Strait.

The regime was apparently targeting a commercial vessel in the Strait.

U.S. forces shot down four Iranian one-way attack drones that posed a threat to vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, according to two U.S. officials who spoke to Fox News. American forces also struck an Iranian ground control station in Bandar Abbas that officials say was preparing to launch a fifth drone.
Iran's response was to attack Kuwait because there's a U.S. base there, and because they think if they do that, they will be discouraging the allies from speaking out or joining against them. Yet such actions have seemed to have the opposite effect, generally.
What else was interesting was CENTCOM also terming the Iranian attack against Kuwait an "egregious ceasefire violation." We'll have to see what U.S. officials have to say about that, if there are going to be any further consequences for Iran because of that action.
As we reported on Wednesday, Iran tried a slick move with a fake version of the alleged deal in discussion, and the White House shot down the game-playing. At the Wednesday Cabinet meeting, President Donald Trump described the regimes as "negotiating on fumes" and thinking they can "outwait us."

But he said the bottom line was they were never going to get a nuclear weapon, that they were going to have a great deal, or Secretary of War Pete Hegseth would be ready with the alternative. So we'll have to see what happens with the deal in light of these latest developments.
Editor's Note: For decades, former presidents have been all talk and no action. Now, Donald Trump is eliminating the threat from Iran once and for all.
