Spencer Pratt Lights Up TMZ for Their Attack on His Living Situation, Then Their Own Poll Does Them In

Spencer Pratt has been surging in the Los Angeles mayor's race. He's reached the voters with his striking ads and common-sense approach. He's been particularly effective, pointing out the failure of Democrats to properly address the problems of the Palisades fire, in which his house burnt down.

The fact that his message is resonating with people is obviously making Democrats very nervous. As we reported, they're even trying to dig up old tweets to attack him with. But such actions only tend to reveal how desperate they are.

So it was quite something to watch TMZ grill him about his living situation. They were trying to argue that he wasn't living in the airstream trailer on his lot that he featured in an ad because he was staying at a hotel. Pratt made it clear — he wasn't actually living anywhere, because he doesn't have a house, because of the incompetence of people like Democrat Mayor Karen Bass.

Pratt also explained he'd been receiving death threats. which was one of the things that prompted him to stay in a hotel and get security.

"So this idea that anyone's like, oh, he's at a hotel! I'm at a hotel because these psychopaths are messaging me every day. They're going to kill me because Nithya Raman is calling me a fascist, because I don't want people to have their kids next to drug addicts at the park or stepping in human poop when you get your matcha. I have common sense, that's not fascism."

Nithya Raman is one of the Democratic candidates for mayor.

Being in a hotel room while the Democrats luxuriate in their expensive homes is not the "gotcha" TMZ thinks it is. And what he has is the trailer and the lot, instead of the house he once had.

Pratt even needles TMZ at the end of the clip to "please use better photos of him," but makes the point he's about doing what's best for Los Angeles.

Contrast Pratt talking about cleaning up the poop with the current mayor, Karen Bass, saying meth heads should be provided with healthcare so they can get teeth. Yes, she really said that.

Is there any question why he's surging when that's what Bass is saying?

Then, TMZ also made the mistake of asking people what they thought in a poll on X, whether Pratt was being misleading. It did not go the way they likely expected.

At last check, it was 93.6 percent voting no; his house was gone.

That's a pretty resounding response to the question.
