Jeffries Reveals Dems' Disturbing Plans During His Troubling Remarks About SPLC Indictment

As we reported, Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel announced a huge indictment against the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

The 11-count indictment in Alabama included charges of wire and bank fraud, as well as one count of money laundering. The indictment alleged that they were asking for money from donors, saying they were fighting extremist groups, while they were using some of that money to pay "field sources" of paid informants known as the "Fs" in some of those extremist groups.

For example, the indictment alleged:

"F-37 was a member of the online leadership chat group that planned the 2017 'Unite the Right' event in Charlottesville, Virginia, and attended the event at the direction of the SPLC," the indictment reads. "F-37 made racist postings under the supervision of the SPLC and helped coordinate transportation to the event for several attendees. Between 2015 and 2023, the SPLC secretly paid F-37 more than $270,000.00."

The Democrat Lie About the SPLC Indictment Has Been Formed, and Now They're Running With It

But instead of being concerned about what this showed had allegedly been going on for years, Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-8) had a truly disturbing reaction.

The so-called indictment against the Southern Poverty Law Center announced by Todd Blanche and Kash Patel is baseless and illegitimate.

These partisan hacks who continue to weaponize the criminal justice system against perceived opponents will never intimidate us.

And all of them will be held accountable for their corrupt behavior no matter what it takes.

Sounds like Jeffries is having a hard time with reality there. It isn't a "so-called indictment," Hakeem, it's a real indictment. The Trump administration didn't pull it out of the air; they had to get a grand jury to return the indictment. Notice, also, that Jeffries doesn't address the actual allegations; he just dismisses them out of hand to attack the Trump team, rather than deal with the unsettling question of money going to extremists. He says that the "partisan hacks...will never intimidate us." Is he placing himself with the SPLC here with "us"? Not a good look; funny how he isn't mad about the money allegedly going to extremists. He's immediately attacking law enforcement and calling it "baseless," without even knowing all the facts of the case.

Then, too, Jeffries accuses the Trump officials of "weaponizing the criminal justice system." In the next breath, he promises to go after them and do exactly what he's accusing them of doing, "no matter what it takes."

This is a troubling example of what you know is likely to come if the Democrats can grab back the House. They will spend all their time targeting the Trump team with investigations and trying to impeach President Donald Trump again. Nothing positive will get done, and they will try to undo all the positive things that Trump has achieved.

Editor’s Note: The American people overwhelmingly support President Trump’s law and order agenda.
