The liberal media pushed a story this week that the Trump administration didn't have a plan if the Iranian regime blocked the Strait of Hormuz. That false claim was quickly shot down by people like Senate Intelligence Chair Tom Cotton (R-AR).
You're just supposed to believe that neither Trump nor any of his team thought about it. Because the liberal media, which has pumped out a raft of fake stories this week on Iran and Islamic terrorism, is saying it.
But if we're watching how Trump operates, you know he's considering a lot of things, and he's been doing so for some time. A fascinating interview that aired on Friday with Fox's Brian Kilmeade shows that. This interview happened before the attack on Kharg Island. Kilmeade asked if Trump was going to attack/seize the island, as he had said he would in 1988.

"Are you thinking about taking Kharg Island, where 90 percent of the Iranian oil goes through? Do you remember that interview and that school of thought?” Kilmeade inquired. Trump just ran it right into the ground.

“Yeah, but, Brian, I can’t answer a question like that. And you shouldn’t ask it. You shouldn’t even be asking it. It’s one of so many different things. It’s not high on the list, but it’s one of so many different things.
"And I can change my mind in seconds, but, you know, for you to ask the question, who would answer a question like that? You’re asking me a question. Kharg Island. Who would ask a question like that, and what fool would answer it?
"Let’s say I was gonna do it or I wasn’t gonna do it, what would I tell you? ‘Oh, yes, Brian, I’m thinking about doing it. Let me let you know what time and when it will take place.’ It’s not, you know, it’s sort of a foolish question. A little surprising for you because you’re a smart man.”
Of course, Trump couldn't answer such a question, not if he was going to maintain any element of surprise, and that's why he no doubt ran it down so vigorously. A few hours later, he was hitting the military installations on the island, but leaving the oil installations intact. Trump told the Iranian regime if they didn't back off threats in the Strait of Hormuz, he would take out the oil on the island that's vital for the operation of the country. So he's holding them over a barrel, literally.
However, Kilmeade made a great point. Trump has been thinking about these things for a very long time. Indeed, he did talk about what he would do n 1988.

“I’d be harsh on Iran. They’ve been beating us psychologically, making us look a bunch of fools. One bullet shot at one of our men or ships and I’d do a number on Kharg Island. I'd go in and take it," Trump said then.
That's a big thing that people miss when it comes to Trump, especially people on the left and the media. He didn't build everything he built by being dumb and not thinking. And this is his own thought; no one is pulling his strings. He's been thinking about these questions for a long time. That was obvious just from his actions with Venezuela first in this equation. He has Venezuela now working as something of a partner. He has Cuba wanting to talk, as their people protest in the streets and try to set a Communist Party building on fire.

Now that Trump's decimated most of the military, it will be safer, albeit still dangerous, if he has to put any ships/assets out there to provide escort service in the Strait. If he can stop the Iranian regime, he will have made things much safer for both our country and the world.
Editor's Note: For decades, former presidents have been all talk and no action. Now, Donald Trump is eliminating the threat from Iran once and for all.
