Democrats have spent more than ten years making their agenda all about President Donald Trump.
One of the reasons they've done that is because they can't really convince anyone to vote for them based on their policies, since those tend to be extreme and bad for Americans.
Democrats have dug themselves into a hole on things like crime and illegal immigration. They're making things worse by supporting people who are attacking the enforcement of federal immigration law. But they're hoping all the anti-ICE chaos they generate will hurt Republicans.
But the big issue going into the midterms will likely be the economy, as it always is. It's always tends to be toughest on the party in power in the midterms. So even though people don't think much of the Democrats, they do have that history going for them.
The Republicans need to show the positives that Trump has brought in, as well as the good things that he's set in motion that will also help the economy.

But the Republicans also need to point out how horrible the Democrats have been on the 'affordability" that they now claim to care about. They need to remind everyone how horrible things were under Joe Biden, with inflation hitting 9 percent.
Then, too, they should do what our sister site PJ Media says, and run this video from WJLA in Virginia as an ad around the clock in campaigns. It shows what the Democrats were proposing now that Abigail Spanberger has become governor, and Democrats took over both chambers in November. Check out all the crazy taxes the Democrats are allegedly proposing, despite being left with a surplus. How does this make anything more affordable for anyone?

No wonder they weren't talking when WJLA reached out to them.
According to WJLA, here’s a list of the proposed taxes the Democrats are proposing:
- New local sales tax in all Virginia counties and cities
- New personal property tax on electric leaf blowers and electric landscaping equipment
- Large employer tax
- Gun and ammunition tax
- New income tax brackets
- Delivery tax, which would hit Amazon, Uber Eats, FedEx, and UPS orders in Northern Virginia
- Investment income tax
- Event tax
- Storage facility tax
- Gym membership tax
- Dog walking tax
- Dog grooming tax
- Counseling tax
- Digital personal property tax
- New car taxes and highway use fees
- Increase in the hotel tax in Arlington
- Statewide speed cameras (not a tax, but more fines for drivers)
- Vehicle repair tax
- Home repair tax
- Dry cleaning tax
- Fantasy sports tax
- Rideshare taxes
Yikes. Is there anything they don't want to tax? Are they going to propose a tax on breathing next? I wouldn't put it past them. Not only that, but these are the kinds of taxes that are most annoying. Why should I pay even more money for food delivery? A dog walking tax? Are they nuts?
But that's why voters need to see this — Democrats will tell you what you want to hear about affordability to get elected.
Then, they will drop the hammer and crush you by making everything worse.
