Turning Point USA held an event at the University of Texas at El Paso on Thursday. Border Czar Tom Homan was a speaker at the event.
It was a packed house.

Homan spoke about immigration enforcement, and he conveyed how he didn't want anyone to get hurt in the process, either federal agents or illegal aliens. In the process, he was interrupted by a heckler, and he dispatched him in typical Homan style.
"Every night I go to bed, I pray for the safety and security of every Border Patrol and ICE agent," Homan said.

HOMAN: "Call me what you want. I don't care."
HECKLER: "Traitor!"
HOMAN: "You know, sir? Why don't you grow a BACKBONE, put a Kevlar vest and a gun on your hip, and go SECURE THIS BORDER!"

"And I pray for everybody that we're looking for. I don't want anybody hurt, I don't want anyone to die, that includes officers and that includes aliens. And that's a stone-cold fact. Call me what you want, I don't care."
A heckler then interrupted, calling him a "racist" and a "traitor."
“Call me what you want, I don’t care,” Homan just dropped him. “Why don’t you grow a backbone, put a Kevlar vest and a gun on your hip, and go secure this border?”
Now that's a clapback. Homan is exactly right. The heckler wants to call Homan names, attacking someone doing the work to help keep the border secure. And now it is secure, unlike how it was under Joe Biden. The Trump team and Homan helped to bring that about. That's protecting the country and saving lives, not just spewing words. They kept that promise.
Yet, the left has demonized ICE and the Border Patrol for carrying out their jobs to enforce the law. It's evil, and it's led to attacks on federal agents. The left doesn't appear to care who might get hurt in the process of their demonizing. All they seem to care about is attacking President Donald Trump.

The heckler also tried to tar Homan with the 2019 shooting that happened in El Paso.
"Patrick Crusius, your everyday conservative, drove hundreds of miles to our city based on your belief that Hispanics are replacing the white race of White people, and we need a scare to deter Hispanics from coming into the country," the protester said, alleging that "the Great Replacement is now a mainstream conservative narrative."
No, "conservatives" don't believe in shooting people, and Homan rebutted him, “What I said was, the open border was an action, was a mess, and it was by design."
Meanwhile, the irony of the heckler to make that kind of a comment, when the left's demonizing is endangering people.
