Fox News correspondent Matt Finn dropped concerning news about an alleged attack in downtown Los Angeles on Monday.

Finn said a man was in federal custody for allegedly throwing two Molotov cocktails into a downtown federal building on Monday in a "self-described terrorist attack, according to federal law enforcement documents."

Finn promised more details forthcoming on the case. Obviously, that description was suggestive as to the alleged motivation.

Now Fox has more details on the incident.

The unidentified suspect attempted to detonate the devices, but they did not ignite, investigators said. The suspect allegedly had additional suspected Molotov cocktails in his possession. [....]

The suspect is expected in court Tuesday afternoon, when formal charges would be filed.

Federal investigators said the man appeared to be motivated by his anger at the federal government over immigration enforcement activities. After his arrest, the suspect allegedly told federal agents they were "separating families" and added, "this is a terrorist attack anyways," and, "I attacked your b---- a--."

Authorities also believe he allegedly lit his rental apartment on fire.

The federal building is where ICE is housed and where many illegal aliens are processed.

The suspect was accused of throwing one of the Molotov cocktails into a door marked as an employee entrance, investigators said, adding that the incendiary device broke into pieces, had charring on it and was believed to be lit on fire. The suspect then allegedly threw a second Molotov cocktail through a separate public door where people were lining up to go through security.

Regardless of the facts in this particular case, Democrats and others on the left need to stop demonizing President Donald Trump and the work of federal agents. Attacks on those agents have increased significantly. We've seen multiple assaults now on federal facilities, and this is endangering members of law enforcement.

Over the weekend, we saw more than a hundred people attempting to block an ICE operation in New York City, throwing things in the way of the police.
