President Donald Trump is known for his love of McDonald's food. During the 2024 campaign, one of his moves that got a lot of attention was his visit to McDonald's, when he worked the fryer and the drive-through window at one of their stores in Pennsylvania.

But on Monday evening, he addressed the McDonald's Impact Summit.

"I'm honored to stand before you as the very first former McDonald's fry cook ever to become President of the United States," Trump said. He also joked about how his 30 minutes on the line was longer than Kamala Harris had ever worked at McDonald's, and that some McDonald's source confirmed she never worked there.

Trump explained how he served McDonald's on Trump Force One and Air Force One.

He even managed to get the healthy-eating Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., to eat a Big Mac.

One of the subjects he spoke about was making things better for Americans.

"There's still a lot of work to do....and we're making tremendous progress. 1.9 million more American-born workers are employed today than when I took office... Wages for hourly workers are rising at the fastest pace in 60 years."

Native-born employment increased by 1,998,000, year over year, in July. Meanwhile, foreign-born worker employment has dropped, which makes sense given deportations. And he's not kidding about that wage growth, either.

Blue-collar workers have seen real wage growth of almost two percent in the first five months of President Donald Trump’s second term, the largest increase for any administration in nearly 60 years.

The 1.7% pay bump is in stark contrast to negative growth under Joe Biden, according to new data from the US Department of the Treasury.

Since Richard Nixon in 1969, Trump has been the only president to record positive growth for blue-collar workers in his first five months. He also achieved 1.3% in his first term.

Trump promised to make things more affordable.

He mentioned how things like energy and eggs had come down, but there was more work to do.

He also gave them a little Trump dance.
