Sen. Kennedy Hilariously Eviscerates Schumer and Rest of Dems on Their Shutdown and Their TDS

Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) delivered a little reality to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and the rest of the Democrats on their government shutdown, as well as on their Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Kennedy started that mission with a momentary detour to flame MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace for claiming that the Democrats have never implied that President Donald Trump is "Hitler." Yeah, just every other day and twice on Sunday. Is she kidding? Has she not been alive and paying attention for the past ten years?

"Even duct tape can't fix stupid," Kennedy opined. He said he supposed she was not as bad as some in liberal media, but that that was roughly equivalent to being the "smartest person on The View."

Then Kennedy nuked the Democrats.

"The Democrats have accused President Trump of everything except abandoning his children to wolves. They repeatedly, they daily call him a racist and a Nazi.
The Democrats are angry. They're angry for two reasons. They're angry because President Trump won the election. The American people spoke. My Democratic colleagues need to just drink a big old glass of "get over it," and let's move on.
Number two. They're mad that the American people are mad about the shutdown. It was so needless. I voted 13 times to open government back up. Democrats have voted 13 times to keep it shut down.
They don't wanna pay food stamps, they don't want to pay the military. They want to use this as leverage to gain more money to spend!"

He's not wrong; they've admitted it's about leverage.

Kennedy said Schumer wanted to become the face of the shutdown. He has done so, but that was not good for Schumer.

"He's a wet match in a dark cave. He polls up there with clubbing baby seals! He's got a 30 percent approval rating, a 60 percent disapproval rating, and 10 percent of folks polled just didn't want to pause their video games to answer...the American people - they get it.

Isn't that a perfect description of Schumer?

That's the problem for Democrats - they can't get around that this is on them, no matter how much they flail and lie. It's the math, and Republicans can't get to 60 votes to open the government, unless more Democrats come on board. As we noted, it's backfiring on them, as the Republican approval has gone up, and Democrat numbers on the generic ballot are not good, given where they should historically be at this point.

So if they thought they could pin it on Republicans, it's not working. The American people are wise to them.
