Hakeem Jeffries' Threats About the Ballroom Are the Real Political Targeting

As we reported on Thursday, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries made some wild comments about the renovations at the White House.

Not only is it crazy how focused the Democrats are on renovations, maybe deflecting from their shutdown of the government, but what he said in those remarks is classic authoritarianism.

It's the targeting that the Democrats accuse President Donald Trump of doing, admitted out loud. Jeffries is smearing Trump and the donors, ambiguously suggesting they are somehow doing something wrong. Notice he offers nothing, even saying they "probably" did something. Probably, my eye. You can't just accuse people of things without any evidence, but that's what he's doing.

Jeffries is promising to investigate the donors if the Democrats regain power.

"And all of this is going to have to be investigated. It will. All of this will have to be uncovered. It will."

"And these people are going to be held accountable, no matter how long it takes," Jeffries continued. "And that's a warning to all of these people participating in this scheming to manipulate taxpayer dollars and, of course, to destroy the People's House. The White House belongs to the American people. It doesn't belong to Donald Trump."

What's the crime here? How dare they donate to the American people because Trump asked them to? "Manipulate taxpayer dollars" — what taxpayer dollars? You're trying to manipulate people by suggesting there's some crime involved. And the White House isn't being destroyed — it's being added to, as it has been over the years by many presidents. Jeffries is ignoring that long history of presidential renovations — will he investigate all those presidents, including Democrats, too?

This ballroom isn't a personal benefit to President Donald Trump. He can't walk away with the ballroom when he leaves. He's not having donors in the Lincoln Bedroom. The donors are contributing a benefit to the American people that we can use and enjoy — for free — in perpetuity. So Jeffries is threatening companies for contributing to the United States because it involves Trump. Talk about the problematic targeting.

The People Helping Fund the New White House Ballroom Are a Who's Who List of Big Names

Why is Jeffries doing this? I think it's because he wants to interfere in the project. He's hoping that the threats will make the donors pull out and stop companies from ever doing such a thing again. This is intimidation. He doesn't care if what he's doing might hurt the American people because it's all about attacking Trump. Can we talk about how delusional Democrats are at this point and how their TDS is hurting the country?

Jeffries is promising endless investigations of these poor companies that have donated to us if the Democrats get back into power. He would then spend countless taxpayer dollars to try to go after them and Trump for the evil of donating to us. Talk about another big reason not to ever vote for the Democrats again when they think and act like this. He's not talking here about what good the Democrats would do if they returned to power, just targeting people. That's abuse of power, not what Trump is doing with the ballroom.

Instead of going after them, we should be saying thank you to Trump and these donors. Donors reportedly include companies like Amazon and Google, as well as people like the Winklevoss twins, Miriam Adelson, and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. I'm just going to guess that Lutnick isn't going to be put off by Hakeem's threats.

Once again, President Trump has managed to get a good deal for the American people, and the Democrats' response is to lose their minds. They just can't deal with his success.

But no one is falling for their delusions — they demonstrate how desperate the Democrats are. They seem to be trying to drive their approval level even lower, and they just might manage it, doing things like this.
