What the Left Did to Normalize Antifa at 'No Kings' Protests May Just Backfire on Dems

For many years, I argued against referring to Antifa as "Antifa" for a simple reason. That's what they wanted to be called because it sounded more noble than what they really were: radical left, anarchists, or communists. With the Antifa name,  you get stupid comments like this one from former CNN guy Chris Cuomo, comparing Antifa to the heroic soldiers storming the beaches on D-Day.

You have people trying to sell us on the idea that they're just nice guys trying to fight fascism. Which of course doesn't explain the involvement in riots or violence for years.

They were at it again on Saturday during the "No Kings" protests. In New York City, they were trying to normalize Antifa. They carried pictures of prominent Democrats including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Chicago Gov. JB Pritzker, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), and late night host Jimmy Kimmel calling them "Antifa." They also had pictures of what looked like Winston Churchill, George Orwell, and Martin Luther King Jr., declaring them "Antifa" as well.

Well of course, that's stupid. But hey, if you want to identify them as Antifa, then you are tagging them with all that Antifa has done.

They were literally marching with Antifa members, with a banner with the red and black flags that represent Antifa. The red stands for "communism" and the "black" for anarchy. Check the folks dressed in black bloc at about three seconds in this clip.

That's who Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was marching in alliance with in New York.

A Pikachu was nearby to make everything look more acceptable, but I don't think it did the trick.

If the radicalism Democrats were embracing wasn't clear enough from the Antifa flag, the list of the groups behind the march in New York City made it even simpler. The Communist Party of America was one of the groups, along with socialists and other leftist groups. And Schumer was urging everyone to come out and march with them.

Someone's going to have to help me with this one. Because how are you "saving democracy" when you're marching with folks who want a form of government other than the one we have, a constitutional republic? How are you saving democracy when you are demonizing and calling for the downfall of the democratically-elected president enacting the policies on which he ran?

They are fighting "democracy" to impose the government they want, not the one that won the popular vote, and won with more than 77 million people.

As Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) said, if Trump were a king, you wouldn't be having "No Kings" protest. Their own protests disprove their point. And the government would be open, instead of the Democrats currently shutting it down.

Then too, let's note another thing the Democrats are embracing when they embrace this march. Not only are they embracing the radicalism, they are embracing any of the extremist signs as well, such as this one with a guillotine and a MAGA hat.

Warning for graphic language:

Is it any wonder that Democrats are losing voters hand over fist when they hook their wagon to this kind of extremism?
