We reported earlier about what could be a historic deal to get the hostages released and end the war in Gaza.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio passed President Donald Trump a note during his roundtable with independent reporters on Antifa. This was that moment that may go down in the history books.

Trump then announced on Truth Social an agreement on the "first phase" of the plan that involved securing the release of the hostages.
Taking into account it's Hamas, you always have to caveat everything, because they always manage to do something to mess up any deal or any ceasefire.

Now, President Donald Trump has given even more details on Sean Hannity's show.
.@POTUS on his historic Gaza Peace Deal: "It has really been an amazing period of time — and so great for Israel, so great for Muslims, for the Arab countries, and so great for this country... in that we could be involved in making a deal like this happen." pic.twitter.com/RK67cnJFOj

Israeli sources have said the release is this weekend.
Two sources familiar with the negotiations earlier told The Times of Israel that Hamas would release all the remaining living hostages on Saturday. Twenty of the remaining 48 hostages are believed to be alive. All slain hostages that Hamas is able to locate are also to be released.
That's a difference in the day, but it's agreeing on the basic principle of the release, and that was likely evolving as it's being reported on, as they work out the specific details Trump was talking about. The main thing seems to be that they are past the big issues. Hamas is also saying they've reached a deal.
The deal will be formally signed on Thursday in Egypt, the sources said, adding that the biggest issues in the Gaza talks have been resolved and what remains to be finalized is merely procedural.
Trump is set to head to the region this weekend. Invited by Netanyahu to address the Knesset, in a phone call they held some two hours after he announced the deal, the president indicated he would do so.
You even have the liberal media finally acknowledging that Trump may have just pulled it off and even done something no one else was able to do.
